They are the ones that installed it. I wasn't charged for that because it was part of the package when I bought the new unit. It came with 3 visits, They installed it last summer. I think they were a little pricey compared to some of the local people here.
Description of Work: They were doing efficiency test on the heat pump.

In my opinion, they are the most professional in this area for that type of work. A lot of people that do that type of work only have 2 or 3 people and it varies, this is a rural area so a lot of people do it, but not everyone has facilities or the resources that Garmon has.
Description of Work: They installed a new furnace.

Service is prompt and professional but cost is too high. Will look for another Carrier repair service.
Description of Work: Had new unit w/ duct work installed 3 years ago. Several items left unfinished. Every year unit fails in some way. First year, AC was working when tech came for "free" inspection. The next day, it quit. Parts under warranty, but labor was $125+. This time a less than 3 year old blower motor failed. Parts are under warranty but labor for 20 minutes is over $300.

Description of Work: Company charged for technician to come to the home to analyze problem and estimate cost of repair. Apparently this is common practice in this area. Problem was simple and easily repaired; technician was finished in about a half hour. He was professional and polite.

They got the five light switches in the basement down to three, disconnected the mystery light switch, covered several exposed electrical boxes, got the light switch off the ceiling, replaced the 7 florescent lights with simple barn lights, that we ordered, put an outlet in the bath and the kitchen, and installed the ceiling fan and the pot light. then to help with the second floor problem, they installed two extra outlets on separate breakers. And they fixed the reversed light and installed an outdoor motion sensor lantern light out back as well. We are tickled pink!
Description of Work: Our house was built in 1925 and an addition was built around 1939. Everything in this house is not to code and crazy difficult to repair or replace, for instance, our bathroom tiles are 7" where almost all tiles are 2", 4" or 6". It took a commercial door installer 4 hours to install an interior door, because the frame was crooked. And it didn't help that the last home owner tried to fix things he had no business fixing. Our basement ceiling is a birds nest of crisscrossing wires and lines and even a light switch that turns nothing on or off. The old, cold, florescent lights were all going bad, so we had Garmon Mechanical come out and scratch their heads at straightening this mess out and bring, at least, some of our electrical up to code. We had a light that if you came down to the basement and went out the garage, you couldn't get the light back on from upstairs, because the light was reversed. All the lights were on their own light switch, which was five. and even a light switch on the ceiling, I had to reach with a broom! The entire second floor of the house was on one breaker. The second floor bath had no electrical out let, the kitchen counter had only one outlet, and my sister wanted a ceiling fan in her bedroom. I also needed a new pot light in my bedroom.
