+ -1 moreCalled Red Oak for an estimate on an addition that I intend to construct. Matt arrived at the scheduled time on September 30th. We reviewed the project during his visit. I provided him with fairly detailed plan view of the addition including detailed notes of the construction. (As I am a Mechanical Engineer, drawing was not what I refer to as "lunch bag engineering". Matt complimented me on the drawing saying that it is rare that he receives a sketch with this much detail.) Told him that I wanted bid no later than October 7th. He clearly stated that he was interesting in the job and voiced no objection to the required bid date. When I received no contact from him by the following Monday, October 10th, I called his office to remind him. As there was no answer, I left a detailed message requesting that he call me. To date, I've had no call nor visit from Matt. The least that he could have done is to call and tell me that he chose not to provide a bid.

doors, remodeling, replacement windows
+ 1 moreWe had a very positive experience with Matt, and continue to use him for every type of construction job that we have. As we continue to improve our home and property, he will always be the first call we make.
Description of Work: Matt converted our 2+ car garage into a finished workshop. There was an office space, a "clean room" for woodworking, and a polishing area with pony walls to allow maximum light. He boarded up the front garage door area and installed French doors. He also added two very large windows, and used the ones removed to add to the mudroom, which was a by-product of the construction. He had to build up the floor to match the door to the house, as well as create a space for the plumbing, electrical, and heating. He showed up on time, worked a full day, and if he was going to be delayed, phoned to let us know his schedule. The entrance to the shop looks better than the front entrance of our house. That's his next project.
