Extreme Concrete

We hired Extreme Concrete to pour the foundation, pad and driveway for our new garage. We paid a deposit plus installments as the work was completed. Justin Walker (the owner) was extremely responsive and did a good job on the garage but did not pour our driveway and stopped responding to calls or texts. After 10 days of trying to reach him we discovered he was in jail on very serious charges. In addition to not finishing our driveway he also did not pay the supplier for materials even though we had paid him for both labor and materials up to that point. Now we either have to pay the supplier for the concrete ($2000 additional) or they will put a lien on our house. Justin Walker and Extreme Concrete screwed us over for thousands of dollars and left us with a huge, unfinished mess in our front yard. Also, given the severity of the charges against him I would recommend you do a background check before even allowing him on your property or near your family.

Justin, the owner, sent an employee to do the work. The employee came to our home without the proper tools or equipment and proceeded to dry cut the concrete without a mask or equipment to contain the dust. We ended up with half of our house covered in a cm of concrete dust and after 8 hours of work, not one ounce of concrete was removed from the space. We were told the mess would be contained and cleaned up appropriately because the bathroom was in the middle of an apartment occupied by renters. Needless to say, the worker did not clean up. In fact, we had to pay someone to come clean the house (walls, ceilings, every single item in the rental other parts of the basement). I asked Justin to come see the damage, but he refused and even sent his worker to get his tools while he knew we would be gone. He entered our house with no one home (rental people had left a door unlocked). Justin refused to refund our original deposit or pay for the cleaning. We also had to compensate our renters for the days they could not occupy their house as well as the extra cleaning and laundry. All in all we lost $700 and now have to pay someone else to do the job. We gave Justin the chance to make it right, but he refused. Very disappointed.
