On Friday night I figured out that the water pump to my house was not working. I did the only thing I knew to do, flip the breakers, Because it was Friday night I thought I was going to have to go without water in my home until Monday. On Saturday I called Erickson Pump and Service. Thjey asked for the information on my pump and told me it might be the start capaister (an inexpensive fix). Ron and Jana were on their way to a bigger city to the north, but they got their daughter to meet me with the capasiter. I took it home and tried it on my pump. Did not fix it, darn! Meanwhile, Jana called me to see if it had worked. When I reproted it had not, she said they would search for a pump in the city while they were there and let me know. They were going to try to replace my pump that day (Saturday). Ron called me back and told me that he had found a cheap pump in the city they were in, but he really did not want to install a cheap pump, just to have to turn around and do it again when the new pump failed. I said that was fine and I could wait. He told me he called his supplier in a major city to the south and arranged to meet him and get me a pump Sunday morning and come back and install the new pump on Sunday, about mid-day. This would be a 120 mile round trip for him on Sunday morning, but he did not even mention it. On Sunday Ron and Jana showed up at my house at noon with the new pump. They were professional, knowledgeable and went right to work. They replaced the punp in two hours and I had water again! Yay! The bill was itemized for the cost of the pump, two hours labor (and they credited me for the capasiter that did not work). There was no weekend surcharge and nothing for their travel time. I will definitely call them again if I have any other problems.
