I would give either a B+ or A- if it was an option. I would highly recommend Treasure State Tree Service. They were VERY professional once they got here. We ordered 3 large (13-15 foot) pine trees for our backyard. They brought them, dug the holes with a small backhoe, planted the trees and then put up stakes and ropes to stabilize them so they would grow straight. Our grass was very wet from recent rains and they put down wood in most areas where they drove the backhoe so they would not tear up the grass. We did end up with some areas of torn up turf, but they seemed to have healed over the winter. They gave a graduated planting cost based on the number of trees you bought, which we found very nice and enabled us to plant 3 rather than 2 trees. Our only frustration with Treasure State Tree Service was punctuality and responsiveness. We had them scheduled for a set day. They called and cancelled (after numerous phone calls to find out why they hadn't arrived) that day because another job was taking longer than expected. They were supposed to come the next day, but it rained. We rescheduled many times and got cancelled because of rain. Finally, the rain stopped, and we got scheduled again. They said they would be at our house by 9:00. It was closer to 11:00. My husband wanted to be here, but had an appointment so he wasn't able to be here which was very frustrating for him. Had they come on the first scheduled day he could have been there. The young men they had working for them were very nice, professional and responsive to any requests and/or suggestions. Overall, we were very pleased with the trees, the planting, the office staff, and would easily give them an A if it hadn't been for the issues with not only not coming on time either day we had scheduled but not being responsive when we tried to contact them to find out when they would show.

Cut and shredded beatle killed trees

On October 3, they came for a walk about and gave me an itemized estimate of the work that needed to be done. This Fall the work will be completed in the next few weeks. As I have mentioned before, they have done work for us in the past and we have been very satisfied and are contracting them again.

Responsive to phone call for an estimate. Set up approximate dates the service would be performed. People doing the work were friendly and professional. During the trimming phase, all the debris was cleaned up and hauled away, leaving the yard neat and clean. We appreciated their knowledge and care in the processes. The insecticide was applied by injecting the product into the soil all around the base of each tree carefully. We previously treatment done by another provider who just poured some of the stuff around the base of the tree.

I had used them to remove a tree previously. We also needed to have someone look over the health of the trees as we have some problems with mildew and borers in many trees. They gave us bid for treatment and cleaning up the trees. Did the pruning in March and will come back to do the treatment.

Treasure State came in and did the work as requested. They did a very professional job of trimming three very large and mature trees. Two were able to be done using a crane, but the third required a skilled tree climber which they also tackled. All were done to the specifications requested and they did an immaculate clean up job as well. Would highly recommend them and plan to use them in the future.

Good overall experience. Forgot to call me back after I accepted their competitive bid to say what day they had scheduled our service, as well as one other time when I requested further information. Those two communication missteps were the only downside to the entire transaction, and were apparently influenced by the fact that they are slammed with work at this point in the season. When I did call to follow-up, they were polite and helpful. One of the owners - Malcolm - came to assess the property and proved knowledgeable and personable. He patiently and readily answered my queries and provided a reasonable, clear bid. The three fellows who actually did the job were great - timely, focused, good communicators, performed a thorough clean-up job. Most importantly, they solidly addressed the agreed-to list of tasks...and even safely removed a big tree from a confined area without the aid of a cherry-picker. No damage to our house despite the near proximity. Impressed with quality of work. Would recommend.

The overall experience was excellent. I would recommend their services. I give them the highest rating across the board.
