Description of Work: "This was actually fall 2014. Mark, the owner/operator installed a forced air heat system in a house we bought for our rental company. He did amazing duct work as he formed the ducting out of metal. A very strong unit for that house. We had no problems with this part. The problems came after Mark swore or would be finished in a week to two weeks time. He would only show up 2 to 3 days a week & foe an average of 2-4 hours at a time. He also said he would get a sheet rock person in there to repair the cuts that had to be made. |After six weeks of waiting & calling, he said the job was finished. When I arrived & saw that system was in and working BUT no sheet rock repairs had been made nor had a rocker contacted me, Mark stated that wasn't his job even though he agreed to take care of that as well. When asked about where he had been, why sheet rock wasn't done nor had he had someone contact me about things- I was informed that Mark had not had a job for 3 months & he was willing to tell me ANYTHING to land this job. (We had had a discussion about lying before I accepted his bid. ) At this point I threw him out. Now, after I've paid what I agreed on, man of my word, I still need sheet rock repaired, and a couple of holes Mark knocked into the walls that had nothing to do with his install. I would never use him again & will strongly advise against anyone using him for ANY work. Including sweeping you drive. "

+ -1 moreMark seemed very interested in taking the job. He stated it would take about a week. It took over a month. He was hard to reach, he would disappear from the job site after about 3 hrs, or just not show up at all. The system is good, the install was not what we discussed. He cut the sheetrock very jagged. Then told me name of a "guy" I could get to repair the rock. I was under the impression, from our initial discussion, that this would be handled by him & part of the job. After being told that he would have told me ANYTHING to get the job, I threw him out. The question of honesty came up, that's when he stated this- followed by " At least I'm honest about it." That did it. OUT! A very "honest liar" ....give me a break.

+ -1 moreMark Smith is a local Missoula man with a small heating & cooling business. I've used him in the past for other heating and cooling issues. He has always been prompt with his appointments, giving a courtesy call when on his way. He has always been professional and friendly. He diagnosed the problem got the part and fixed the problem. He was thorough and also checked other things to make sure that was my only problem at this time. He was great at clean up and care of the work space the was in. He explained what needed to be done, and what was done to me in laymen's terms, which I could understand. Overall, I would rate Mark Smith, Missoula Heating & Cooling AAAA++++.
Description of Work: He replaced one of the car bites in the sensor unit, which makes the pilot light ignite. And also find a short in the system.
