2 young ladies were sent to my home to complete the task. I paid them the $450.00 which was quoted to me as the fee. They spent several hours working in the house and prior to leaving, I expressed my dissatisfaction with some to the work that I initially inspected. The one who appeared to "be in charge" because she had been with the company longer, stated that she ran out of product to clean with therefore could not do any better. After they left, I continued my inspection and discovered many areas that were not cleaned properly, such as coffee droplets on the wood floor, dust that should have been removed from items on mantel and window seals etc...the shower was NOT CLEANED properly at all, window frames not cleaned, and MANY other items that were supposed to be done. I started taking photos of much of the problem areas and then received a call from the 'supervisor" (Debra, I think was her name-not positive though) who initially gave me the estimate. She asked if she could come do a quality check so I thought all would be handled. She came within minutes and together went through the house. She found things that I had not found yet and told me how embarrassed she was. She said she would send them back out---I told her I really didn't want the same ones back if they were going to give me a problem and that I would rather have a refund/partial refund if the job couldn't be completed as it was supposed to be. She told me they like the originals to come back so they can fix their own mistakes. I agreed with the condition that they would actually complete the job with no attitude. The two young ladies came back a short time later and on their way in the door, I tried speaking to them and explaining the issues but was quickly cut off and told "we have already talked to the supervisor". I chose to go into another room while they completed the work-my husband, who had no idea what was going on, came home from work and greeted them, then came into the office where I was sitting. He asked me "what's with their attitude" and commented on how nasty they seemed to be. When they left, we inspected, again, and, again, found that they had not completed the cleaning...there were still coffee droplets on the floor (I was told that they would clean and dry the floor by hand), dust remained on widow frames and many other things were still undone. Very BAD cleaning. We had originally planned to have them come in once a week or every two weeks for light cleaning....NOT NOW! The supervisor-nor anyone else from the company- NEVER did another follow up.
Description of Work: Due to hand surgery and back injury, I could not clean house very well for several weeks. I had family with very small, crawling babies, coming to visit and needed a deep cleaning of entire house.

The result was neither deep or clean. Upon complaining to Merry Maids in person at their office they acknowledged the work order had been impropely written up. Mother requested a full refund but Merry Maids refused. Instead Merry Maids offered either a $100.00 refund or a $100.00 credit towards a second cleaning which she would be billed for. She refused the credit because she didn't want to pay a second time for work that should have been done the first time. Plus the work that had been done the first time was poor quality so she didn't want to risk another $300.00 on top of the $400.00 she had already paid. Two weeks later Mother was still waiting for the promised refund to show up in the mail so I accompanied her to the Merry Maids office for a second visit. Merry Maids again refused to refund her $400.00 and repeated their offer of either credit or a partial refund and acknowledged that she had said NO to credit and YES to a refund during her first visit. She agreed to accept the $100.00 refund but walked out of the Merry Maids office empty handed because whoever issues refunds was again - like the first visit - not available to write the check. Before leaving we confirmed Merry Maids has my mother's correct mailing address.
Description of Work: My elderly mother and her elderly housemate hired Merry Maids of Missoula to "deep clean" two bathrooms (full bath and half bath) and kitchen and vacume living room furniture (2 recliners and 1 couch). Deep clean to include bathroom fixtures, kitchen oven, all kitchen and bathroom surfaces including walls, windows, vinyl floors, cabinet exteriors and counter tops. A Merry Maids representative came out to her house for a walk-through and quoted a price of $400.00.

They didn't do a very good job. They came back when I called, which impressed me. However, it still wasn't great quality, so I opted to not use them again.
