+ -1 moreFred and his son were on time, did a really nice clean job and I couldn't be happier with the result. They stayed in touch about timing and fit me in in just a few days of my original call. Really appreciated their work!!
Description of Work: I had bath/shower plumbing done for a small remodel. The job entailed removing old 2 handled shower faucet and replacing it with a single handled faucet and bath spout and water supply for a hand-held shower.

Description of Work: Fred replaced the water heater in my home. He came out evaluated the problem and in just a few hours I had hot water in my home. Fred and his son were VERY professional. Fred disposed of the old water and cleaned up the entire work area. I will use again in the future. HIGHLY recommend!!

+ -1 moreWhen actually doing the work, he never installed a vent pipe -- work was done in a half day. Price was the same. A week later we noticed sewer gas smell -- Fred did not cap old connection. I had to cut old drain pipe and cap it myself!
Description of Work: Fred said our washer relocation was a major plumbing project, because it required building a new vent to the exterior -- the high price was to match a lot of work.

+ -1 moreThey arrived an hour late but that is understandable in any type of service where they might encounter difficulty and delays with prior jobs. They completed the work and had us up and running on the same day. The inspector found no issues with the work. They charged exaclty what they quoted, so no surprizes there. They were the second lowest bid, and they promptly returned a call to set up the job. We called the two lowest bids to see who could do it soonest and the other guy never did return the call.
Description of Work: Fred's replaced a water heater.

+ -1 moreVery friendly and accommodating, answered all our questions completely, and did an excellent job with the repair. I was a little surprised by the cost, which was based apparently on the total hours spent on the call, including the drive from Missoula -- I guess that is fair, but it caught me by surprise. Other outfits charge a flat fee to do the service call, then add the actual labor spent on the repair. Still, we were very happy overall.
Description of Work: fixed exterior frost-free hose bib that had frozen and burst the previous winter, plus consulted about several minor plumbing issues (running toilets, low water pressure)

+ -1 moreThey were very good. They were very affordable, very knowledgeable, and very nice. I didn't have the water turned on at the main, so he made time to come back the very next day to turn the water on at my house and to make sure the plumbing was okay. He was running a little bit behind, but I think his willingness to come the next day kind of makes up for that.
Description of Work: Fred's Plumbing and Heating turned on the plumbing of a foreclosure that I purchased. They also billed us that day.

Description of Work: Fred and son Rick are always professional and very thorough. Fred has been our plumber for 25 years and we wouldn't call anyone else. He also has the tools and knowledge to deal with very old plumbing.

I don't want anyone else to know about them because I want to keep them to myself. :-) I wasn't always clear about how much things would cost, and many times I didn't even ask, because I knew them and trusted them to do a good job at a decent price. Sometime they even gave me (free) advice over the phone on how to fix a problem.
Description of Work: Fred and his son did all sorts of work on my former home. They replaced a toilet (very difficult; it was wall mounted and required lots of ingenuity to figure out how to support it), replaces sinks and vanities, changed shower fixtures, repaired broken pipes, fixed backflow preventer, lots of things.

+ -1 moreFirst Fred came to the house, we discussed what we wanted to do, and he checked all the plumbing and drain locations to see if he could find any barriers to moving the toilet. When he was thoroughly satisfied the job could be done, he gave us an estimate and completed the job quickly. We are very happy with our new toilet location. Fred has also installed a new water heater for us, replaced old plumbing fixtures, fixed leaks, and more.
Description of Work: Fred's plumbing has been our go-to plumber for 12 years. Fred has done work at our house many times, most recently moving a toilet in our bathroom to make e bathroom more wheelchair accessible. This required removing a small vanity to make room for the new toilet location, capping off the water lines, removing the toilet from its original location, moving the toilet drain, drilling a hole in the ceramic tile for the new drain, relocating the toilet, hooking up the new drain and attaching the water line. Fred also helped us find a tile person to fill in the hole from the old toilet location.
