I've only ever dealt with Troy. I believe he's now one of the owners of the company, after having been an extremely loyal and active employee. He's very open, sweet, and easy to work with. He's an excellent problem solver and he's been extremely accommodating. I have nothing but good to say about him, and I trust him a great deal. I feel very comfortable working with Troy, and would recommend him highly.
Description of Work: They routinely service my spa. They do general maintenance every two weeks, and a full clean and fill twice a year. (The price listed is a rough average per-visit)

We requested a hot tub lid cover and were told it would be delivered in 2 weeks but were required to prepay for it which we did, 8 weeks later, and several phone calls later, we finally received delivery. The dumped the old lid in our driveway for us to haul away. Then they told us we needed a new pump which they'd install a week later. After three weeks they showed up with the wrong pump. They are hard to get a hold of, and make promises they don't keep. Stay away from nice guys full of crap.
Description of Work: Lied, stalled, ordered the wrong pump, cursed at me when called on it.

This experience was so bad, I will never use Aqua Blue again and I would recommend other consumers to avoid them.
Description of Work: Recent Issue -Within the last 2 and half years, Aqua Blue put in a temperature controller and replaced a heat pump for my indoor pool. There were issues with both installations. Very recently the sensor failed in the controller unit, so the heating contractor pulled it. We were thinking that it might be covered under warranty, as it was still relatively new.. Imagine our surprise in finding that the manufacture date on the unit was 2007. We have to replace a sensor unit which is just $40, but now I know that there is no warranty and it's likely that other parts will have to be replaced on a controller that was manufactured 5 years ago. Earlier Issue - I had called my heating contractor for service rather than Aqua Blue because of what happened last February. A heat pump which was only 2 years old failed. Aqua Blue had not put the pump in originally, but I called them for service. When they broke the news that we had to replace a new heat pump, they said they felt badly about it and since they were doing my maintenance now, they would only charge their cost for the pump and wouldn't charge for their labor. They had to come out twice because they put the new pump in, but forgot to program it. But upon completion, they presented a bill for $600. There was no itemization of any kind, just the charge of $600.. Since I needed the warranty info anyway, I got the serial/model number from the pump and went on-line. Just out of curiosity I checked the product with several on-line suppliers and discovered that the tandard price for this exact pump is well under $200. Scheduling with these guys is extremely difficult. It's strictly hit or miss; they don't return calls to set up appointments and then just show up at the house. When they do manage to come and do the work, they put in old parts and charge much more than presented to the customer. For this reason, my heating contractor handles the pool maintenance now. He's honest and certainly smart enough to do a much better job than these guys.
