 + -1 moreHe did not return my call for 3 weeks, but gave an excellent reference for someone else for me to contact since he was short of help and would not be able to do my job. He told me that the referral learned the trade with him and worked for him for many years. This made me feel much more comfortable to call the referral.

 + -1 moreI contacted this company and Rob Langley it's owner in Jan. 13 to do some repairs on my roof. I had a number of shingles which had been blown off the roof and needed to be replaced. After my initial contact he supposedly drove by to look at the house but he did not stop and talk with me. I called him numerous times to set up a time when he could come out and fix the roof but it kept snowing and the repair could not be done. Finally in Feb. we have had several days of warmer weather where the roof was clean and the repair could have been done so I called him again. He actually came out again and looked at the damage and gave me a quote. He told me that he could come very close to the shingle color and would go out and buy them and i could approve the color. A week later I had not heard from him from him so i called again. He stated he had just got the shingles the previous day and would bring them out for me to look at. That is the last time I heard from him. I called again because the roof was clear and weather conditions good for the repair but he never called me back and that was 2 weeks ago. The job has never been completed and I have to contact another roofer to do the repair. Why he did not do the job is a mystery. Maybe because it was a low profit margin or he thought it would be a waste of his time. I will never deal with this company again and would not recommend him for any reason. I'll actually be surprised if he is able to stay in business given my experiences with him.

 + -1 moreThere was a delay in starting in Oct of 2011, so we had to put it off until Jan 2012. But once they started they worked on it until it was completed. It looks great, were very pleased with their work. The entire roof was done in three and 1/2 days time.
Description of Work: They removed the roof and replaced any damaged under pieces and re roofed and replaced the gutters. The work was very good and they cleaned up everything completely. They were professional and well trained. They knew their stuff.

 + -1 moreRob's professionalism comes from the years that his family has been in the roofing business. HIs confidence is well earned, and his results matched his word. I was very pleased that he was able to schedule my roof so quickly. The only issue that caused me any anxiety at all with Rob, was he was kind of hard to get in contact with. He was exceedingly busy during the time, but he managed to come by the job site at least once a day to see how things were going. Rob's family has been doing roofing for many years, and were well established in the area, so I knew he wasn't one of the many fly-by-night operators that flock to the scene after hail storms. I was very concerned about getting some con-job or getting screwed over like the roofing horror stories that I had heard from a couple of the neighbors. Langley has certainly earned my respect and recommendation.
Description of Work: We had a massive hail storm come thru in the summer, and it heavily damaged my roof. After getting about 8 repair estimates, I decided I liked Rob's (Langley Roofing) the best. His wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive estimate I received, but his professionalism and work history really convinced me that he would do a good job. There were literally thousands of roofs to repair after the storm, but since mine was so damaged, Rob put it near the top of his list that he could get done before the winter. I also asked for a tear off and replacement of my fascia in addition to the shingle replacement since the fascia was so warped and aged. Several of the roofers I had give estimates said that they wouldn't do the carpentry work, and I would have to get another contractor to replace the fascia. Rob was happy to provide the extra service requested. Rob came by with samples of the roofing materials he proposed to use in the project. He thoroughly explained the reasons he recommended the materials that he selected, and helped me with my choice of what to use. Langley Roofing is certified to use the materials offered so that the manufacturer's warranty will be honored. Rob's crew showed up as scheduled and did a very nice and neat job. They spread tarps each day and cleared them each evening after they finished. His foreman was very responsive and professional in spite of being in his mid 20's. This is a young-man's business after all. One of the crewmen was a carpenter, so he was able to repair a water-damaged soffit for me and put up the new fascia very neatly and smoothly.
