It went very well, overall. Work was interrupted a couple of times by high winds, rain, and even snow. We worked out ventilation needs, balanced with aesthetics. The city building inspector was pleased. He observed that our roofer does very good work. Roofer had an excellent array of possible shingle types and colors from which to choose. The new roof looks great and is well-constructed. The post-construction clean up of the site was done well. Recommendation: an itemized list of the costs of all construction components, and the hours required for and costs of different facets of the project. If something comes in under the projected cost, an appropriate credit to the owner.

Responsive and through. Zach worked with my quirky older home and fixed the roof up nicely.

I called Zack last November about patching some wind damage to my roof and he recommended that I have my insurance company look at the roof. I appreciated the advice, since they agreed it was due for replacement. Zack could have taken advantage and hit me with ongoing repairs, but gave me good advice instead. After some more research, I went with Zack and ZW to replace my roof and it was a good decision. He ended up replacing my asphalt roof with 40 year architectural shingles. Even though he used 40 instead of 30 year shingles that he'd estimated, he stayed true to his original estimate. His crew were respectful, courteous, and did a good job with no dramas. They were very courteous the couple of times I had questions, and took the time to explain what they were doing. They left the job site tidy every day and did a good job of cleaning up when they were done. The cost was a bit above the estimate from the insurance company, but the quality was worth the little extra cost!

The service was excellent. Zach came by the day that I called and gave an extremely detailed estimate that was in line with what I expected to pay. The workers started on a Friday afternoon and to my surprise returned on Saturday morning to finish the job. They were in and out in just about 24 hours. I had a deadline from my insurance company to get the work done and Zach graciously fit me into the schedule to meet that deadline. They cleaned up around the garage thoroughly. The work was done in January so there was snow on the ground. Even after the snow melted I only found 1 roofing staple on the driveway. Access to my garage is from the alley and they were careful not to block the road so my neighbors could get in and out. Zach also called me before the work started and reminded me to move my car out of the garage since the door would be blocked by the debris trailer. I was very pleased with the service and would use them again.

Zack treated our small job with the same interest and respect he would have for a big roofing job. He came promptly and finished within an hour.

Zach arrived on time every time, and kept us well informed once the work began. He is professional and personable. His crew is friendly and respectful. They did a remarkable job keeping the debris cleaned up. The job was started in November, and the timing of work with the weather was well managed. Zach alerted us to a wobbly chimney pipe with missing flashing, and worked with my husband to resolve the problem. Quality Malarkey shingles were used, and the roof looks terrific! The work was performed as proposed, no surprises. We highly recommend Zach Warden and his business ZW General.

Zack was pleasant, courteous and professional. Responded to our leaky roof quickly and had it repaired right the first time. Kept in communication and kept us up to date with the process. Would definitely recommend him.

Great job. Zack provided an estimate after looking at the job, and the number never changed. The estimate was good compared to others. ZW General finished a day ahead of schedule, and both roofs look great. They also did a great job with clean-up. I would definitely recommend them and would use them for any other projects.

Zach was great to work with. He was prompt and courteous and met every timeline he set. He was willing and able to work with the insurance company to have the claim adjusted and bring the insurance settlement into alignment with the cost of the job. His team was very polite and did a good job of cleaning up at the end of each day and at the completion of the job. We expected the roof replacement job to be a huge inconvenience and we could not have been more wrong. They were a great team and I would recommend ZW without reservation to anyone needing a new or replacement roof.

Sept. 2013: ZW came out very promptly and patched the hole. They also returned to help with our insurance adjuster, pointing out the most damaged areas of the roof. We are now awaiting response back to have our whole roof replaced. Very helpful, and we look forward to having them do our roofing. The cost of patching the roof will be waived since we are in contract for further repairs. Even though we live in a rural area ZW did not charge us for an estimate or for coming out, as other contractors do. He came out and patched the roof, if we had no further need he would have only charged us for the initial repair. So far we have been very pleased and ZW has saved us in regards to the leak repair. Update, 2014: In addition to ZW's Angie's List reports, we became aware of ZW's work on a fire-damaged roof replacement in a historic home in Helena which was very challenging and the owners were very satisfied with the work. Because of ZW's schedule, we were unable to have him start on our roof replacement until this past June. However, we were in discussions with him several times over the design and materials for our new roof. Zachary Warden (ZW) was very direct and supportive of our ideas for our new roof. He offered advice and suggestions that helped forward our vision of how we wanted our roof to look. Our plan was to replace our older shingle roof with metal (Bridger Steel) and to use two different profiles of metal. There were unique challenges with the project and ZW figured out solutions and implemented them. While weather conspired against the planned completion date, Zachary and his crew helped mitigate those problems. We are very pleased with the outcome. Our new roof is part of an overall restoration of our house, but also stands as a unique artistic creation unto itself. Zach and his ZW crew are craftsmen. We are proud of the work they have done and would recommend them highly. Zach and his crew are very professional, courteous, and considerate.

Zack is great. He came over the day I called for an estimate and had a solid quote to me within 15 minutes. When I selected him he told me a date that he would be there (which was 2 months out), but then when it came time he showed up right when he said and had the job done in 2 days. His crew was great, they kept the yard clean and did a great job. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Being away from my home , my nice neigbors told us of the leak in the bathroom. After calling several roof compagny , from the internet listing , I found Zachary from the Angie's list . He responded right away , and came himself within few days to do the repair himself , and checked the roof for more damage , He found two small leaks. I would use this company again , for roof repair if needed.

We were happy with the job that was done on our roof. We thought Zach and his crew have been good to work with. The guys working on our roof every day were friendly. The yard was cleaned up well after they were done. There was a small amount of damage to our property, but everything has been taken care of to our liking and Zach has been easy to work with. If we ever need roofing done again, we would call ZW General.

Zach was the first to come over and give us an estimate...the same day I called him. After telling him we needed the work done as quickly as possible due to the sale of our home, he was willing to send a crew to do the job over a weekend. They actually showed up a day early to do the work!! They worked efficiently, and finished ahead of schedule. Did a great job cleaning up...haven't found a single nail in the yard yet. He also happened to stop by when the buyers for our house were here. They were nervous about the roof and he did a great job explaining the work he was doing and the warranty on his work. They left feeling great about the roof. I have no complaints whatsoever.

Called after a "no show" for appt. Zach apologized, said he had "triplebooked" and rescheduled. Worker showed up for 2nd appt. but had no ladder. Several days later, Zach arrived unannounced, explained about his worker not having a ladder and said he would be up on the roof and have an estimate for me within 10 minutes which he did. Estimate was higher than other estimates. Zach seemed knowledgeable and had licenses available. Not sure I would use him because of the 3x's needed to get the estimate as well as the cost.

I received a quote from the owner about one year ago. After again visiting with the owner he rapidly replied and we quickly reviewed the first agreement and came to a new agreement in a very short period of time. The contractor allowed the homeowner to work along side the crew and the work was accomplished with out a flaw.

I chose Zach because: -he gave me the best estimate -he gave me a senior discount -I was able to pay with a credit card (but had to write him a check for his costs for that -- worth it to me because I was trying to make spend on a new card for a BIG points bonus) -he recommended that I call the insurance company because there had definitely been storm damage. The other company didn't suggest this, and I wouldn't have thought of it on my own. Saved me several thousand $$. They did a thorough and professional job. Cleaned up well each day. Very nice and helpful people. (Hauled off a broken toilet to the dump as well.) The reason I have not written a review is that there were some issues with the timing, including that I ended up leaving for Europe with my roof half done, not something I would have planned to do. The problem was that they had accepted too many jobs at once, but you never know what the weather will allow, so I don't really blame them for that. They were not able to get to my house when they had planned, which is why I had to leave before it was finished. Because I turned off the water when I left the country, they were not able to get water from the outside faucets, and it was over 100 degrees when they were roofing my house. (When I returned and turned the water back on, I found the outside faucets were open, and I couldn't get them turned off and had to call a plumber. Again, not a huge issue, as the "freeze-proof" faucets WEREN'T, and needed to be tended to anyway.) These small issues were why I didn't write a review sooner. I went to ZW General because of the Angie's List review, and I would recommend them to anyone.

One of several that gave me estimates. One of three that followed through with a call. Wasn't lowest bidder, but felt a good conection. Very Professional and impressed several neighbors who had him roof their homes. Still a friend and stay in touch. Pass out his cards to anyone with roofing needs.
