Gates did not work properly after two years and had to hire another contract to correct the problems. The did respond at first but stopped returning my calls and never fixed the problems.

The FenceCrafters were very communicative and dealt well with both my fence, and the property next door who shared the back fence with my land. While my calls to the neighbors had been ignored, FenceCrafters called them as well to let them know that the fence was coming down, and their small section could either be left, replaced, or come down as well. What could have been a difficult back and forth between myself and the commercial property was resolved by FenceCrafters efficiently. The vinyl fence looks great, and we put up with my input asked for every step of the way.

They were excellent. They knew what they were doing and did the job right.

Fencecrafters put a chainlink fence in for us back in 2010. The price was reasonable and the financing option was perfect for us at the time. We had it scheduled to be put in for late January/early February letting them know that we have 5 dogs and a housesitter coming mid February while we went on vacation, and that it was very, very important to have the fence in before we left. Long story short, the fence was not in before we left, nor was it in by the time we came home 2 weeks later. Besides not having it in on time, everything else was great. More recently, a part of the fence was damaged by wind, and our gate was caught by a trailer and a piece of the chainlink ripped off. I had been trying to get ahold of Fencecrafters to get someone to repair it for us for about 4-5 mos. I left at least 3-4 messages and never got a call back. Once I did get ahold of them, they had planned on coming to give us an estimate that Friday. Never heard from them on that day. Finally got a call the next week giving us a quote (which was reasonable), and they said they could have it done the next week. We were getting concerned that we hadn't heard from them at all on Thursday, but Friday they showed up and had it fixed. So all in all, they do a fantastic job (once you get ahold of them) for a great price. But if you need something done immediately, don't count on the time estimates they give you.

The materials were good and the installers knew what they were doing, but I was disappointed with the management. They acted like they were doing us a favor and I didn't know what I was doing even though I've been doing construction for 20 years. They didn't finish when they promised and would not communicate to let us know why they were delayed. Overall I would recommend going with another fencing company if possible.

Johnny, the younger one, runs the Helena branch. He showed up for a couple of the estimates and his foreman for one. They get the utilities marked and the work done. They don't always start on time but I would guess it depends on the other work they are doing. The provide a temporary fence while the old one is down and the new one going up. They leave no mess behind but ask if you want old fencing materials. Very pleased with my 6 foot wooden privacy fence.

I have been using them for the last seven years every time I want to get a section of fence done. They charge by the foot.
