My landlord insists on using this business and they have wasted so much time and money just for simple issues that they make worse. The level of unprofessionalism and disrespect is astounding, especially as a small local business. Every time, there's an issue with them sending someone on time, hours late, not announcing when they come in, leaving a mess and leaving all the doors and gates open on top of not even saying they're all done. When there IS any interaction, Todd specifically, is extremely rude and disrespectful. I had my dog inside with the basement and back doors open to where I needed the work done and he tried to barge inside my kitchen without giving me the opportunity to pull my dog back and put him in a bedroom. Having spicket and leak issues with flooding and standing water in the basement, along with pressure issues that kept blowing out my hoses, we simply requested to double check the lines previously worked on and testing the water pressure to eliminate future damage to the property and appliances. He was extremely short and kept saying there was no issue. He kept trying to hook my hose up to the spicket with the pressure issues after we requested he not do that unless he's going to replace the hose after the water pressure damages my last good hose. He finally tested the pressure and it was 130! He was supposed to send another guy back to install a regulator on the line to make it within code, which is 80. The guy was 2 hours late, took an hour and a half to install the regulator, but installed it on the wrong line! Had to call them back out again and finally got it right but left a mess. I do NOT recommend this business if you want a job done right, efficiently, or with any level of decency when it comes to customer service.

I contacted Clark’s Plumbing in April to run a gas line for a gas stove and add an additional outside water tap. We purchased the gas stove and just waited for the line to be run. I had to call repeatedly to get the job finished. Clark’s couldn’t seem to facilitate the trenching with the landscape company THEY worked with! I finally had to call the landscaping company and set up the trenching. The line was FINALLY installed in November! We were charged $92 an hour for permitting, scheduling with the gas company and all labor - on top of the parts. I know I spent at least 4 hours during the whole process on the the phone just trying to get the job finished as promised. The outside water tap was never installed. This job took SEVEN months, $2,400.00 and way too much aggravation! Now we get a bill for the trenching!! THAT wasn’t included in the $2,400!!!! I would never recommend this company.

Wonderful. Todd (the owner) was able to get me scheduled in the middle of the same day I called. His son (apprentice) came out and systematically diagnosed and repaired the toilet all while instructing me on what he was doing and why. He also gave me a lot of helpful information about what to watch for and various information on replacement parts (price, quality, ect). All work was done clean and efficiently. Very polite and professional.

It went very well. Clark's Plumbing & Heating plumbers do great work. I was surprised at the cost but then I was reminded that the hot water heater is a hybrid system that works in conjunction with the furnace (which is more expensive than a stand-a-lone hot water heater).

First the good: Todd Clark was a really nice guy who sent someone to install the heater when he said he would. The fellow did a first rate job of actually installing the water heater. These guys are skilled plumbers. Now the bad: Todd came to look at the job, then sent his young relative to do the job. Not a deal breaker, but unexpected. The job took a long time to schedule because our job was low on their priority list. There was a cold snap, and our job was postponed to handle more pressing issues. Sort of understandable, but still, one doesn't want to be pushed down the list. The young man who installed the heater was fast and efficient, but he left a big mess for me to clean up in our basement. The heater is in our laundry room which has a painted concrete floor. He dumped a bunch of sediment on the floor, which ran to the floor drain, and on the way left a sludgy mess. He then said in something of a confrontational tone, "I'll leave this for you to clean up unless you want to pay a plumber's hourly rate for clean up." I did elect to clean it up myself, but... I completely understand if you're having a bad day. But this was disrespectful. He might have said, "This job is messy and our policy is not to charge for clean up because most people elect to do it themselves." I was hoping this recommended company would be one we could call on again, but will think twice now. Not because of the price or skill level, but I just felt like the installer did not appreciate the work. Too bad. Todd was a great guy.

Plumber looked at ceiling and at bathtub faucet. He explained that the fixture is one that is no longer used due to the fact it allows water to run down into the wall. He felt this, and not a leaking pipe, was the reason for the discoloration in my ceiling. He explained to me how to apply a silicone sealant around the fixture which would prevent the problem. I sealed the fixture and it seems to have fixed the issue.

I discovered that the toilet was leaking from the tank on a Sunday morning. So I called Clark's, which had a good rating on Angie's List. Aaron replied to my call and arrived in a few minutes. I asked him to replace the very old toilet instead of repairing it, and he said he probably had one in the shop he could use. So he went and got it and replaced the old one. I've had no problems with it. Aaron really knew his stuff and was very respectful and professional. I could not recommend Clark's more highly.

Description of Work: I am in the market for a Whole House water filter, and he gave me tips on how to do that, and said he would install a GE from Home Depot, but he said it wouldn't really help me... He referred me to a different plumber that might be able to help me, as well as referring me to the county for water testing... "I could take your money, but it won't help you"...

Overall the work went well and took 2 days. The concrete was removed by us, so the iron pipe was exposed. Clark's removed the old pipe and set the new to grade. Clark's checked the work before the concrete pour and make sure it was in place and secure. We had one mis-communication on the original estimate which was communicated to us as soon as it was discovered and resolved to the satisfaction of both parties. As owners, we are new to remodel projects and associated costs. It helped very much to have someone working on the job that was experienced, fair, and helpful.
Description of Work: We purchased a fixer-upper that required replacing the 60 year-old basement concrete floor because it was 2" of concrete on clay and was cracking badly. As part of the floor replacement, Clark's Plumbing was hired to replace the deteriorating cast iron interior main line, to stub in a future bathroom, to plumb a utility room, and to run new PVC to the kitchen.

Todd and the other plumbers are great. They are more of a plumbing company than a heating company - when it comes to plumbing they are the best in town. It is no wonder that the Cathedral and Carroll college rely on these guys when they need a prop plumber. They may be booked out a ways but if you can get them to do the job then you are set.

Excellent service. I had attempted to repair this leaky pipe, but actually made the problem worse. The absence of a shut off valve for this sink required that the entire water supply to the house be turned off . Clark's were at my house within a couple of hours of calling them. Fixed the leak quickly and cleaned up properly. They came back the next day to replace one of the fittings which had showed a small drip. This was done without charge and within hours of calling them. Nice folks!!

Great service from estimate to installation and cleanup. I originally called them for a repeating slow/clogged bathroom sink, and rust and metal taste in kitchen sink water. They referred me to someone that specializes in snaking pipes for the bathroom sink, because it would save me money. I had asked them for two estimates, one for replacing all galvanized plumbing (home inspection prior to purchasing the house in 2006 had pointed this out) and one for just getting the kitchen sink plumbing replaced. I also asked for a quote to replace the hot water heater (11+ years old and acting up), and to move the shut off valves for my washer from the basement to the first floor next to the washer. The quote came in at $3500 for everything, using pex to replace the galvanized steel. They were thorough and professional in providing the quote (no charge) and scheduling the job. We allowed 2 days to get the work done, with no water over the first night. They were on time and very polite, walked me through everything they were doing, and answered all my questions. They finished at noon on the second day. Clean up was excellent both days. I have two dogs and not a scrap of anything was left in the yard that they could get into. Clark's even discovered that the faucet to the outside for my hose was failing and replaced that. They showed me a different option for placement of the bathroom drain pipe, which, combined with the vent, should alleviate the drainage issue that kept occurring. They also showed me how to replace the inline vent cap should it become necessary, how to tell, and what to get, so I wouldn't have to call a plumber. Clark's Plumbing and Heating did not require any money down. I received an itemized bill about ten days after job completion, for LESS THAN the estimate, even though they added a few little items like the frost free hose bib. I rated the price as and quot;goodand quot; because this is my first time dealing with plumbing renovations, and I have nothing to compare it to, so wasn't comfortable selecting excellent. Although it is on a par with pricing for other renovations I have had done on the house. Todd Clark and his employees were a pleasure to work with. They have also done work at my place of employment, and for my employer at his house. That's who referred me to Clark's Plumbing and Heating. I will definitely use them for any future plumbing issues.
Description of Work: Replaced all galvanized water pipes in 100 year old house, replaced shut-off valves on all sinks and toilet, removed old gas water heater, installed new gas water heater, re-piped bathroom sink drain and installed in-line vent, replaced outdoor faucet with frost free bib, moved cold and hot water shut-off valves for washing machine from basement to same level as washer.

Description of Work: I have used the services of Clark's Plumbing & Heating for plumbing work. The most important thing they did was they came and figured out what a huge problem was with the plumbing problem that we have had for years. They came and worked with the irrigation systems and there was a sprinkler problem. I was not here and they worked for months and they figured out what that problem was.
