It was supposed to be completely checked out and refurbished and working perfectly as new but it was not when I received it I had to spend an additional $400.00 to get it working here in los angeles he gave me a warranty I did not want to ship it back the unit weighs almost 100 pounds and he would not pay for shipping and I didn't think I would see it or my money again

I had the extreme good fortune to find ReelProSoundGuys on Angie?s List after a year-long effort to find someone to repair my 1982-85 MTL-10 Sony Stereo Cassette Player. Although RPSG specializes in restoring and refurbishing vintage reel to reel audio tape decks, Mr. Wilsman was kind enough to take a look at my player because it was unique and somewhat rare? a cassette tape ?jukebox? randomly playing up to 10 individual cassette tapes with auto reverse, blank skip and auto change functions. When I initially called Mr. Wilsman to describe the problem and to ask if he knew of someone who might be able to help me, he walked me through some simple diagnostics and was 95% sure he could bring the unit back to life. I shipped it to him and, within a week, it was repaired, refurbished, factory settings restored, bench tested and ready to come home. It hasn't played or sounded this great since I bought it 30 years ago. My unit was returned in mint condition, meticulously packed and shipped with copies of the original operation and technical manuals, a detailed description of services rendered, an estimated current valuation, a video CD of the final test, and a one year warranty. I?m sorry to say, in today?s marketplace, RPSG is as rare as the services they provide. They demonstrate what everyone in the service industry should strive for? quality, professionalism, technical expertise, and a genuine consideration and care for their customers. I certainly am a very grateful and satisfied customer. I only wish I had a vintage reel to reel tape deck for RPSG to resurrect. Oh, well.

I bought subject tape deck on eBay and had it shipped directly to the Reel Pro Sound Guys. They gave me an estimate within 24 hours, performed the work and returned it to me within a reasonable period of time considering the work to be performed (3 weeks).
