These three projects Turner Remodeling has done for me have been outstanding! Rod has been courteous, thorough, and professional to the max. He never pressured me to get the work and completely explained different options and ways of doing the projects. I highly recommend he and his staff and would not hesitate to use Turner Romodeling for additional projects that I might have come up in the future.
Description of Work: 1. Work performed: Home bathroom remodeled (summer 2010) Home Built in early 1960's. Location: Hamilton, MT Total cost for work performed: $3839.53 In the early summer of 2010, Turner Remodeling was hired to do a bathroom remodel on a rental home that I own in Hamilton, MT. They were recommended by the renter of this property who had seen TR's work done at his place of business and was impressed by the quality. There had been a leak behind the old shower surround at the rental home and the bathroom had reached the point where an overall remodel was necessary. The owner of TR, Rod Turner, came out, examined everything, listened to my concerns, and did preliminary inspections inside the wall behind and under the tub/shower to determine what was needed. Rod gave me a complete list of what needed to be done, a price estimate, and how long it would take to get the bathroom to the quality I wanted. His estimate, which I received the day after the inspection, was fair so I decided to have him do the project. It was necessary to replace some wooden supports and plywood in the walls behind the tub/shower, and in the floor under it, remove old tub surround and install a new one including tiling, replace tub and shower faucets and valves, resurface existing tub, and install new venting fan system. Rod also removed and hauled away all old materials. The work was completed in approx 3 days (some painting was necessary, but we'd agreed that the renters would do that work). Rod kept me updated daily via phone/e-mail as to progress of the work. Rod's estimate of the costs was right on - no additional charges. The renters report absolutely no problems with this bathroom to date (Feb 2012) since the remodel. I'm very pleased with the job done. 2. Work performed: Installed new roof and new rain gutters on home and attached two car garage (fall 2010) Same home and location as 1. above. Total cost for work performed: $8119.00 This home was starting to have roof leaks by summer 2010. It had two visible roofing layers, the bottom one probably being the one installed when the home was built. The outer roof had probably been put on top of the original roof over 30 years earlier. I knew that Turner Remodeling also did roof work and since I was so pleased with the bathroom remodel they had done earlier in the summer, I had owner Rod Turner come out and give me an estimate to re-roof this home. Rod measured everything and we discussed what type of roofing to put on (the old roof was asphalt shingles). We decided on high quality 30 year asphalt shingles of my color choice. Due to Rod's schedule, he wasn't able to start this project until the fall of 2010. This was not a problem. He and his crew completely removed the two old layers of roofing and the original felt all the way down to plywood and hauled all the old materials away. The plywood was completely inspected and several pieces were replaced as needed. They put down all new felt, a water and ice shield, the new roof, flashing, and rain gutters were installed - all within one week's time. Rod was really good about keeping me updated via phone and e-mail on the progress of this project. There were no additional costs above the original estimate. This new roof has performed flawlessly with no problems. I couldn't be more pleased! 3. Work Performed: Installed new roof and new rain gutters on home, attached garage and patio (fall 2011) Home Built: 1973 Location: Hamilton, MT Total cost for work performed: $8445.70 This was purchased by my Mother's as her home in 1992 and it has been a rental property since the summer of 2001. The original roof was starting to leak and looked very worn by the summer of 2011. Since Turner Remodeling had previously done a roofing project for me at another property, I decided to have them look over the roof at this place and give me an estimate. Rod, once again, personally came out and examined the roof. It definitely needed replacing. We discussed options. Also, due to the flatness of the patio roof, Rod recommended installing a special membrane on the patio roof, the edges of which would fit up well under the new shingles to prevent any chance of leaking through. We decided on high quality 30 year asphalt shingles similar to those used on the earlier project and of my color choice. As in the previous roofing project, Rod completely removed and hauled away all old materials, examined the plywood for any damage, and replaced the old felt, added ice and water shield, put down the new asphalt shingles and the patio roofing membrane, and installed the new rain gutters. All this was done within a weeks time. As on previous projects, Rod kept me updated by phone and e-mail as work was been done. There were no additional costs above the original estimate. So far, this roof has performed perfectly!
