Description of Work: Ron Hall Sprinklers, who had installed my new outdoor sprinkler system shortly after buying my home. For the next two or three years the appointments for turning on/off my new system went very well. A lady in the office would courteously call to make an appointment for their workmen to come to my house to turn the sprinkler system on or off and to do the necessary maintenance. I realized in chilly late October, that no one had called me about turning off my sprinkler system, so I called the office. The lady I spoke to told me they had not 'reached my area yet' and I verified my question about the business calling me in advance. She courteously assured me that would have it taken care of soon, but did not have a date. A neighbor came to my door late cold evening to informed me that my outside water system had "blown". In (my robe & slippers) I ran to the corner of the house where he showed me water spewing every direction from a "line" (don't know if those are correct words in the last sentence!) I ran down to the basement and turned the outside lever for water off. (Whee...I had asked after installation what to do if there was ever a problem). I tried to call Ron Hall Sprinklers, who had installed the auto sprinkler system for me, but I got no response. At that time, I realized that I had not followed up the call about having my sprinklers turned off for the winter and they had not contacted me. I called Ron Hall Sprinklers early the next morning. Mr. Hall answered the phone thus making it easier to tell him what was going on because the system had not had the proper maintenance. It sounded like ruffling papers, then he told me that I had not called them to have the necessary main turned off and that they did not do such service without the homeowner calling to make the appointment. This had not been the situation the past, and in saying so, I was interrupted and told that this was their policy.

Description of Work: Ron hall added on to our existing sprinkler system which was installed by another company. The other company did a very poor job and were very unresponsive to our complaints. Ron Hall made the best of the situation and tried to improve on the existing sprinklers. They listened to our concerns and were always very punctual and professional.

Description of Work: Cost is estimated based on previous service call this year. Reset irrigation system control box and gave instructions on bypass and manual operations.
