B & B HEATING & AIR COND

We had a new furnace and central air unit installed in July. Number one, it took a full week for them the install both, having to come back several times. When everything was done, we found a gas leak in the pipe joint connecting the new furnace, the furnace seams had not been properly sealed, the foam liner covering the AC line was not ran all the way to the furnace, and the AC unit was 2lbs short on coolant causing the AC lines to freeze over. The co-owner had to come out and fix the issues because the other guy who did the work was not available. My husband had to press for that to happen because we absolutely were not going to wait another minute longer living with a gas leak. Not a good experience at all. Will probably not hire them again.

The owner of B&B came out to my three day old car and grabbed the metal before i could give him a hand; as I knew it was heavier than it looked. Sadly, as he started to pick the pieces of metal up he lost his strength and drop them on my bumper; creating a set of gouges in my bumper, completely removing the paint down to the underlying plastic. I let him know that he was going to be held accountable for the damage. A workorder was never created, so I had no receipt or estimate. I took my vehicle to my friends automotive repair shop and got an estimate of just over $500.00. A few days later I went back to B&B to pick up my container. The owner (male) was not there, and there wasn't any documentation. The owner knew who I was and I noticed my container behind me by the door. I examined it and discovered it was the worst welding I had ever seen. My evaluation was 100% correct; as I had owned a body shop back in Chicago in the early 70's. I had learned auto mechanics and body repair at an automotive course given the last year of High School. I was taught more than five different types of welding, and I received the highest grade possible. So, I told the Owners wife behind the counter that I was taking the container, and I left. I sent them the estimate from 3D Auto Body and told them to send me the amout on the estimate minus the $100.00 I owed them; even though it was a lousy job. I can repair nearly anything, from a computer, to an automobile, to household appliances and tools. I can build a house from the ground up, fixing electrical , plumbing, and gas related utilities. I was also a computer analyst/scientist for the USAF for just over 22 years. They have yet to pay up. Over a year later my air-conditioning stopped working, I tested all possible failures and found I needed a new dual capacitor. Sadly again, B&B were the only ones in town who carried them. I had no choice, so I went to there business and asked the Owner's wife for one and she called maintenance area to have one sent up. She got a good look at me and realized who I was. She went out back and came back in after a few minutes. A man came in with the capacitor and said it would cost $35.00. That's more than twice what it was worth. B&B overpriced the item to try and get some of their money back. Charging me a different price than any other customer is against the law. This business does not give customers any breaks on their service. They are two old geezers beyond their prime, with horrible manners, and they lie and cheat people because they think they are always in the right. They give no discounts and even charge more than other companies in town; which I found out later. They do not deserve to be listed by your company.

Said that we had a older one, but, said it was working good. Was honest. We could have gotten a little bigger one. Also said that for the most part the one we have is going quite well for as hot as it has been.

Fair pricing, superior customer service, highly skilled courteous installers. They did exactly what they said they would do when they said they would. Never have had such a quiet furnace!!
