Marquis Painting

Description of Work: Power wash house and two sheds. Some scraping and priming an extensive caulking required. Then we painted the house and the shed to match their new shop.

Description of Work: Gerry and his crew of painters are the best. Their estimate was higher than others were interviewed but their process was by far the most comprehensive. Not only did they fabulously paint our Victorian Home but they also restored it with cases of caulk, hammering boards back into place, even fumigating bees in the attic! They communicated well, arrived and worked hard. I recommend them wholeheartedly without reservation!

Description of Work: Gerry and his crew completely restored the exterior of our historic home (built in 1925) in downtown Kalispell. Previous owners had not maintained the exterior; therefore, we had numerous issues that needed to be resolved, such as shifting fascia, loose siding, improperly sealed joints, poor flashing, and more. Marquis Painting put five cases of caulk into our house and spent more than half of their time on preparing our exterior for a new coat of paint. Given the intricate, detailed architecture on our home (which required several days of small brush work), this is quite a feat. Yet, they exceeded our expectations in the end by putting as much attention to detail into the painting process as the prep work.

Description of Work: Gerald Marquis and his great crew did a very professional job painting the exterior of our house! It looks terrific. We had weather changes (rain) and stain color problems (the stain looked nothing like the sample color chips when applied to the house body - twice) which extended the project, but throughout they maintained a cheerful and helpful "can do" attitude. Gerry even used the rejected body paint as the first coat and didn't charge us for the new paint. The crew cleaned up all evidence of the job, including clippings from the shrubbery cut to access the walls and trim. | |I would happily recommend Marquis Painting to anyone and we plan to use them again for interior painting. They are experienced and so nice to work with. A lesson learned: buy a quart of your chosen color and paint a BIG swatch on the wall before purchasing multiple gallons based on the color chips from the paint company!
