Hired this place to install new plumbing lines, install toilets, showers, etc & install a water softener during a remodel. They flooded the house TWICE due to botched work by MT city plumbing. The first time was because they didn’t hook up the softener right and that caused our basement to flood. 3 weeks later, our upstairs flooded and the basement AGAIN. This was due to incorrectly installing a water line to a toilet. When we brought the first flood to their attention and asked for insurance info to file a claim, they accused us of trying to benefit from them? Wow really? We had thousands of dollars worth of personal items destroyed and all the flooring and drywall we had just finished installing had to be torn up. Then, to have it flood again 3 weeks later is not okay. This “business” is NEVER a place I would recommend to anyone. Would give ZERO stars if I could.
Description of Work: Replace plumbing lines throughout whole house and installed all new toilets, showers, sinks etc.

Mike, the plumber, was wonderfully efficient and pleasant, had the parts for the icemaker & installed a new flex line to replace the old brittle plastic tubing. He not only fixed the icemaker leak, but he then fixed a problem with the toilet--one of those "as long as you're here" problems, since the whole thing didn't take 15 minutes, much less an hour.
Description of Work: The refrigerator icemaker sprung a leak. I called Montana City Plumbing and one of their plumbers, Mike, was here within 15 minutes.

Having had Montana City Plumbing do the work on our house when it was built, about 6 years ago, we thought that if something had been installed wrong that they would come out and correct that mistake for free. That was not the case. They charged us for the part that was left out as well as the labor costs to install it. It was their fault in the beginning and they should have stood by their work. In addition they charged us travel time for two calls because they did not have the part required with them on the first trip out. The second trip should have been without charge. We tried to communicate this to them, but got not satisfaction. They ignored us and charged an arm and a leg for the work that they did. Too bad, as I will now go with, and recommend to others, a different plumbing company.
Description of Work: They replaced a pressure valve on the pressure tank and repaired a leak in a pipe that had been incorrectly installed by them when they house was built.

Response from Montana City Plumbing & Heating
Mike our Plumber Tech went out to repair pressure tank leak as what we were told by [member name removed] was the problem; what he had ask us to come out and do. It was a different issue then what we were told, it was the Pressure Switch that was bad. After Mike arrived and reviewed with [member name removed] he had to get the correct parts and schedule to go back out and repair the problem. They also ask for Mike to Fix Leak Under Bar Sink which we were not aware of when Mike went out for the service call and Mike also needed parts for that. If we were told correctly what was needed it would have been a quick and easy repair. No Plumbing Service Truck is able of having every part needed on the truck as is no supplier able to have every plumbing part on it's shelves. Bottom line if we were inform correctly we would of had the required parts for the repair's. We only have a one year warranty not 6+plus years. We were not the Plumber that had plumb this house we were fixing what another plumber had plumb and I don't think they would have a 6+plus year warranty ether. I hope all is well with [member name removed], we tried to review this with them but they were not able to comprehend that we could only go on what they had told us for the service call and not giving us all the information left us having to back into town (23 Miles Away From Town and a Half Hour Drive with out any Traffic Each Way) to obtain the required parts for the services call. We would had to back into town for the Bar Sink Repair as we were not a wear of this when we first went out. Again we hope all is well with [member name removed] and best of wishes. Thanks Michael Hamlin, HR and Business Operations Manager

We contracted for the work in fall 2010 wanting to get in on the tax incentives. After not hearing from them for 2 months we got in contact with them in December and were told that work wouldn't start until spring 2011. (no tax advantage). Work started but the boiler they quoted us on would not work because they hadn't properly measured the cheminy (this after they tore out our old boiler) we had no choice but to go with a different, less energy efficient model that has a fan to force ventilation. The fan is VERY noisy and uses electricity to add to our heating bill. Further a special part had to be made which added to our bill because again, they hadn't properly inspected everything when they made the quote. To make matters even worse. In March 2012 we discovered a leak in one of the fittings, we called them because they did the install and assumed they would stand by their work. WRONG! they fixed the leak (it wasn't sealed properly according to the guy who came out) but we got a bill for $75!! I spoke to them and they said the they didn't care if it was due to their workmanship it was out of their labor warranty period. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use these guys!!
Description of Work: Replace old gas boiler with modern one for energy efficiency
