About us
Christie Electric, Inc. is a family-owned and operated full service electrical contractor serving Bozeman, Belgrade and the surrounding Gallatin Valley since 1983. We offer highly trained electricians to insure the highest quality at the best value. Over the years we have become one of the leaders in the Bozeman area on energy efficient lighting and energy conservation. We team with local agencies to provide energy audits and provide modeling to show our clients how they can save money on their consumption as well as on their maintenance costs. Mike, the owner and president, began working with his father who founded the company when it was started in 1983. He joined in operations management in 1992 and took over as owner in 2003. He has extensive experience gained over the years and was instrumental in starting the local chapter of the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) in Bozeman which focused on apprenticeship training and safety. Mike's friendly, knowledgeable service will set you at ease. Our primary field electrician, Travis, has been with the company for 10 years. He started as a laborer and went through his apprenticeship with Christie Electric. In his final months of his apprenticeship he competed in a state wide competition of all the best apprentices in Montana. Travis won that state competition and went on to a national competition in Baltimore, which included 50 of the best apprentice from around the US. Travis was the first person to ever represent Montana at this level and he won 2nd place in that national arena, demonstrating his level of achievement, drive and training. We are proud to have Travis on our team.

The only downside was the delay in getting the work completed. Mountain Sheet Metal installed the heater and the gas hook up. They told me the electrician they hired--Christie Electric--would be in contact to hook up the electrical connection. It was another week before Christie Electric called to set up an appointment and a week after that before the work was done. Two weeks seemed like a long delay for a minor job. However, I do not know how long such things normally take and it was the holiday season.
