My girlfriend and I Meet John a week prior to us dropping off our 32” class A motor home and discussed what was going to be cleaned (listed above) and the price. The previous owners did smoke in the motor home so there was that to remove which John said he could get most out (we understood not all). We dropped our motor home off with him and he had it a week; when we went to pick it up the following wasn’t cleaned as he said he would; Carpets were still dirty, upholstery was dirty, ceilings not washed, walls in bedroom and bathroom door still had tar on them, dirty hand prints on the bedroom door curtain, day/night shades not cleaned, there was dog hair still on the front dash carpet, stainless steel backsplash in kitchen area was streaked and grease still in ceiling vent. Outside awing still had mold on it along with the door and outside entry light; he also said the tinge of yellow was the natural color of the interior. The exterior was still yellow and not waxed; he told me that was the original color of the motor home. He also said that the curtains and day/night shades couldn’t be cleaned because the fabric would fall apart according to a local RV business (I won’t mention their name because they actually didn’t say that; I talked to them). I told him when we picked it up on Monday that I didn’t think I should pay him $500 for the work he did; he then said that he put over a hundred hours into cleaning it. We left and took the motor home; we looked at it in more detail and we in disbelief in the quality of work promised and what was actually done. I called him the next day and told him that I wasn’t satisfied with the work and felt that I paid him to much for the quality of service he provided. He said that he didn’t want and “Unhappy Camper” and came over to our house and spent 4 to 5 hours cleaning the interior and to bring the motor home back to him after we returned the following Sunday from using it. He would clean the rest as promised. I also told him that I called Fleetwood and asked for the paint code and they informed me that “Polar White” was the only color they made in 2002 for the Fiesta model and the interior was white; Gel-Gloss would remove the yellow oxidation if a buffer was used. I had also removed two of the day/night shades during that week and hand washed it using Oxy clean and water; it didn’t damage them at all, it removed all the tar and brought them back to white. I sprayed Windex on the awing also that week and using a common green scrub pad was able to remove the mold and discoloration on the awning; brought it back to brilliant white and blue. I sprayed Windex on the mold around the outside entry light and only removed half of it to show him that it will come off. We dropped the motor home off with him the following Monday and he said he would remove all the blinds, clean the awing, remove all the mold, finish cleaning the interior, and finish waxing and buffing the outside (we seen where he started and then stopped after he realized that he would actually have to buff the entire outside like he said he would). We picked up the motor home and he did clean the mold off the door, painted the front grill, cleaned the carpets again, wiped off the stainless steel backsplash but didn’t wax of buff the outside (I spayed water on the exterior and the only placed that “Beaded Water” was the spot on the left front under the driver’s window where he started and stopped), he didn’t clean the awing and in fact gave me the rest of some “Super Cleaner” he used. The outside entry light still had mold on the seal, the day/night blinds were still yellow and went removed. He was with another customer and avoided us because he knew that we weren’t happy with the work. We left dissatisfied and he knew it. We were upset and disappointed with the services provide especially for the $500 we paid. My girlfriend and I did the following: Spent 4 hours cleaning the upholstery with a steam cleaner and the initial discharged water was black; it eventually was clear. Removed all the day/night shades and washed them by hand using Oxy Clean cleaned them to white (4hrs). Unrolled the awning and scrubbed it with Oxy clean removing all the mold and discoloration (3hrs), finished removing the mold around the entry light. I paid someone else $160 to clean the ceiling and remove all the tar; they used a special degreaser and Oxy Clean to remove the tar and turn almost all the ceiling back to white (5hrs).I have someone else who is going to clean the outside using Gel Gloss later this month. I know this was long but I don’t want anyone else to have an unpleasant frustrating experience like we did. You can email me with questions or additional comments at blu@bresan.net.
