They showed up in the morning 2 days late and dropped of the bamboo and placed it as needed. The installer said the flooring needed to acclimate and they said they would return the following morning. They arrived about 3:00 the next day and worked about 1 1/2 hours. They showed up at 10:00 the next morning and worked until 4:30. The and quot;bossand quot; came and finished alone the next day. Said his helpers didn't show up. He was a total a**hole to them, I wouldn't of showed up either. There are a couple of things I don't like with the bamboo. One heat vent was a little sloppy but it is under the closet door in the guest bed room but I applied 2 silver dollar sized spots of calking and the problem was solved and one expansion transition could have been put in a more asthetic place. The one BIG problem is the floor squeeks and clicks in a bunch of places. Not every time you step there but too often for my wife better known as and quot;she who must be pleasedand quot;. And she AIN'T..... They sent out a different installer to do the tile in the kitchen. He was courtious and did a good job in between bible lessons. He started out to do the back splash but ran out of tile with 5 sq ft left to do. I raised a stink and the got the rest of the slightly expidited. It came a week later. I was worried about a different dye lot but there is a lot of variation so it looks fine. It took another 5 days before he finished the laying of the back splash and then 9 days to get back and grout the back splash. He did an excellent job. The bamboo was finished in early May. We complained about the squeeking and clicking within a week. We contacted the sales person 7-8 times before he quit them. The manager, Tim basically blew us off. Finally he said we could have it inspected but would cost us about $280. A month later (5 days ago 2-7-13) came out and did his thing. He said there is no charge. I don't know the result yet. I own 10 rental properties and I have been using Lowes and Home Depot and get OK prices, quality and service. Nothing note worthy just getting it done. When I finish the second floor in my house I guess I'll work it out then and it will not be Floor Trader.
Description of Work: They installed 150 sq ft of porceline tile and a glass tile back splash. They installed 1000 sq ft of engineered bamboo.
The Sales person, Tim, was so nice and on time to measure my floors. Not to mention knowlegeable. The store has almost too many choices, and so many are in stock so I didn't have to wait long or pay too much! It's a very clean store. The store itself is somewhat hard to find. It's tucked behind the Perkins on 19th street and the Car dealership east of there, Behind the new strip mall. I was most impressed with the sales team they have, about Five guys who seem to live and breath flooring. They really know what they are talking about. And then there are the installers. They scehdule them based on experience and they keep those guys trained and certified. you know how you schedule with the cable guy 10am-2pm and he shows up at 3:30pm? Wel these installers were so NOT that way. On Time and ready to. One team of guys did all the floors.
Description of Work: They came out to my home to measure it for the Flooring. I was having carpet, hardwood and tile installed.
