R & R Roofing

The first day the roofers were scheduled to start work they didn't show up until 1pm then left several times for around an hour each time leaving only 1 guy to keep working. They started the tare off of the roof & left a huge mess nails & shingles everywhere including my neighbors drive way & yard we spoke with them & they seemed very upset but said they would clean up better they left on the first day by 4pm. The next day they did arrive by 7:30am worked for a bit & then one of the roofers just walked off & quit, so they left again for about an hour to go to the rescue mission to hire someone to work, we had an appointment so we left around 12:30pm when we came home around 3:30pm there was no one here & there was garbage everywhere & the shingles that were on the roof were completely the wrong brand & color. On Friday they arrived around 7:30am worked throughout the day I saw them throwing their cigarette butts in my yard so i asked them to please pick them up & not to throw them in the yard they said they would but it did not happen, when they left for the day my husband climbed up onto the roof to see how it looked & he found a large 1ft by 1ft hole in the roof looking into our attic, numerous other small open holes, & lots of tares in the felt they laid down but it was supposed to be titanium not felt, so we called the owner to talk to him about it he proceeded to tell my husband that "felt & titanium are the same if we did not believe him call any roofer they will tell us" he said that we have complained since day one & he is tired of it. So i called several roofers & they all said that titanium & felt are not even close to the same. I called him back to tell him & he said "I am busy I don't have time to deal with you now I will be at your house in a half an hour". That was at 6:30pm he didn't show up until around 8:30pm. He got on the roof & looked at the job that had been done he was very angry but not at his roofers at us, He got in mine & my husbands face yelling & cussing at us for calling him & for having to come to our house on his friday night he got so loud & out of control our neighbors several houses down came over to see if we were ok or needed them to call the police that calmed him down he apologized & said we are right & he will talk to Mike. The next morning at 7am when they showed up my husband went out Mike said so i hear you want real roofers so F*** you i quit & proceeded to pack his stuff, we called the owner & he didn't have much to say they packed there stuff cussing & throwing things the whole time. The owner left us the materials to use & brought us a trailer for trash & misc. tools So my husband & his friends could try to complete our roof themselves.

It was fine but because we have never had roofing done in the past we can not say indefinitely say that they did the best or worst. I went out and looked at the work and it looks by all intensive purposes beautiful.
