 + -1 moreI've used Mr.Rooter before, and was even happier this time. It was not a job for the weak of stomach - but you'd never know it by the professionalism.
Description of Work: VERY old toilet in a very tiny bathroom finally clogged/overflowed and plunging, snaking just wouldn't work. Called Mr. Rooter. New water saving toilet purchased, old toilet removed and disposed of.

 + 0 moreNo issue with quality or speed of work. Issue was with the cost of the work. Charged over two times what you could get the garbage disposal unit for the unit itself. Charged $168 for exact unit that cost $86 on amazon. Then charged another $160 for $160 for installation (I had ordered the unit but forgot to tell my wife). They knew about the cost difference but expressed no remorse. Will not use them again.

 + 1 moreIt was the coldest part of the winter. They helped by replacing the sewer line, which required new pipes in the house and a whole new sewer line to be dug to connect with the city sewer. They were prompt and efficient under such cold circumstances. They were reasonable with their price and worked with us to make it possible. They have returned as the weather improved to make sure the land was leveled off and everything was ok. They recently helped our neighbor and she has the same glowing review.

I will be using them in the future to take action to get this working. Highly recommend Mr. Rooter based on Enterprise Ave.
Description of Work: Chance came to the house to repair an outside water faucet that was not working. Recently bought house and didn't know if it ever worked. He did a thorough review of plumbing and did not find a connection to the outside water faucet.

 + -1 moreI was not impressed at all. My daughter paid him to put in a toilet. They came and instead of using their snake to clean the drain they took a hose form my washroom and stuck it on the pipe and a week later it clogged up again. I called another company to actually get the job redone. They made it seem like they were on their way and my daughter and I had to wait.

 + 0 moreHe was punctual, and very professional. Explained everything he was doing and when conventional therapies didn't work, he went back to get a special washer machine to open the line up. I'm not up on the price comparisons for work so, I don't know if the price was good or bad, but I was satisfied. The only gripe: he kept wearing his wet boots through the house (there was work in the kitchen and the garage access to the line) and I needed to clean the kitchen floors after he left, but that's minor in comparison to the overall experience.

 + -1 moreAll the work I had done took 3 separate trips on 3 different days. They were so accommodating and worked me in so that they weren't holding up the remodel project. On one trip because the plumber that takes care of all my plumbing needs was running late the president of the company came out and did the work needed on that day. Everything is working just great and I am so happy to have found a plumber that is as awesome as Mr. Rooter.
Description of Work: Due to a remodel of my kitchen I needed the drain for the kitchen sink lowered and all new plumbing because I went from a single sink to a double. In addition I purchased a new fridge and decided to hook up the ice maker. I had them put a water filter in that line as the fridge didn't have a water filter. I also needed the shutoff valve for the new gas stove lowered so the stove could be pushed closer to the wall. They had to hook up the dishwasher and garbage disposer and because they were originally hardwired I had plugins put in so they had to put electrical cords on both. As long as they were working at the house I had the old shutoff valves to the washing machine replaced as well.

 + -1 moreThe young plumber who came out, Ryan, was very pleasant. He called before my appointment time as he had finished his previous job early and asked it was ok if he came out then. I had been having issues with the pipes to the toilet making a lot of noise when the tank was done filling and had been told that I needed a pressure reducer put in the water line after the water meter. He said he didn't think that would help as it was the pipes vibrating inside the wall. He said that possibly replacing the fill valve would stop the noise and that there wouldn't be a charge for that so that is what he did. It worked like magic and no more rattling pipes. Ryan was very professional and went over the cost for everything before he started the job. I had told the gal who made the appointment for me that i was an Angie's List member and that I had a coupon for 15% off but then I looked at the coupon and told her I was sorry that the coupon was for 5% off. She said that was ok, they would give me the 15% off, which I thought was great service. I even signed up for their 3 year advantage plan as if I ever need a plumber they will be the people I call. I was very satisfied with the service and the work that was performed.
Description of Work: Installed a new kitchen faucet, replaced the emergency shutoff valve for the toilet in the master bedroom and replaced the fill valve for the same toilet.

 + -1 moreJob went fast, Mick Brown responded quickly and started work immediately. His quote was less than others and Mick is a licensed master plumber. He had to replace some buried exterior sewer lines and reinstall poorly embedded interior plumbing lines that solved the problem. He was careful excavating and explained his work and performed professionally. He worked well and coordinated with our regular handy man who was working on other related repairs. I will use him in the future and recommend Mr Rooter, Mick Brown, in Billings MT to others.

 + -1 moreall in all i was very pleased with mr rooter. from the minute i called to schedule an appointment to the clean up at the end. yes! the clean up! ryan the plumber, gave me options on the types of fixtures there were and the approximate costs of them. he was professional and courteous as was the gal who scheduled my appointment. sorry i can't remember her name! the work was done quicker than i thought it would take and it all works beautifully. i would call them again should the need arise.

 + 0 moreThe person who answered the phone to schedule appointments was either unqualified, untrained or directed not to listen to information available about what needed to be done or to give any kind of a non-binding cost estimate for the work, in this case simply roto-rooting a drain line from an easily accessible clean-out access, that was being requested. Instead there was a song and dance about professionalism and the operator first sending a scope scope down the line to assess the problem and then offering information on what needed to be done and cost. She also said that the driver/operator had the books with cost information, etc. and she could not provide any information at all about cost. My feeling was that this is a company who was looking to make a mountain out of molehill. The next company I called was listened to what I wanted to explain, provided a cost estimate, and was able to come out today rather than later in the week.
Description of Work: Refused to listen to information on what needed to be done or give a ballpark, non-committing estimate of cost for a simple drain cleanout.

 + -1 moreFabulous. He was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. This was the best experience we've had with a plumber in years. The price was astounding (much less than we expected). I wouldn't go anywhere else now.
Description of Work: The pressure tank on our house well malfunctioned, so we had no water. They came out on a Sunday (!), determined that the 20 year old pressure tank had lost pressure, and recharged it. While Mick was there, he checked the pressure switch as well.

 + 0 moreThey came back 3 or 4 times trying every thing every one could think of to get the old toilet to work and only charged the initial $150 service call and the $150 to install the $750 toilet and I checked on line the cheapest that I could find the toilet was home depot only $100 less and they couldn't get iy in for @ least a couple of weeks. They were all very courteous and professional. We will definitely use them again.
Description of Work: We have very old 1965 hung toilets in our home and I just remodeled my main bathroom. After a family function the toilet was leaking my husband fixed the leak but when you flushed the toilet the toilet paper wouldn't go down. we had 2 different plummers and no one was able to figure it out. One of them thought it was a vent problem and recommended Mr. Rooter. They came out and could find out why either, Joe suggested calcium build up or a new toilet, that was my last resort as you can't find the color any more especially in a wall hung toilet. My husband took it off the wall and was going to try to clean it with some special stuff as a last resort, before he had a chance to, Mick called him back and said that he was going to try a few more thing to see if he could figure out the problem. Well he had no solutions either. We told him that the other plummer thought it might be a vent problem, he said that he could put a scope down the vent for $250 and if it wasn't the problem he take that off of the price of installing the new toilet, but then he said that the cost for that was only $150 so he would just charge that for scoping the vent. Well the vent wasn't the problem either so I reluctantly said we'll go with a new toilet even though I new it wouldn't match I had no choice. When Joe and a new guy who's name I didn't catch came over with the new toilet, we discussed the situation again and pretty much came to the conclusion that something was stuck in the toilet, after they took it off of the wall, they took it out to the yard and tried for quite awhile to see if they could get it out but because of how the toilet curves it just didn't work. So I still had to go with the new toilet that doesn't match the rest of the bathroom but I am very satisfied with the time and effort that they all put in because they knew how much it meant to me to have the old toilet that matched the bathroom that I had just finish puting so much time into remodeling and tiling instead of the new one that didn't.
