Excellent! Don went out of his way to troubleshoot several problems I was having. He also sought the best solutions for the installation of outlets in a new solarium that turned out magnificent. I highly recommend McCabe Electric for any electrical work.

From the time the Lodge decided to update our electorial system until the finished product, the process progressed within the time frame necessary. McCabe Electric had from the first of July to the middle of August to finish the job and they preformed very well. The price contracted for was the ending price with extras we asked for finished in the time frame provided. I would highly recommend McCabe Electric.

Mr. McCabe was busy supervising another job when I called, but came over within a couple of hours to check out my situation, and indeed found a problem with that particular breaker. He removed it and found evidence of arcing. He didn't have the appropriate replacement with him that afternoon, so he temporarily rerouted the wires to another breaker so I wouldn't lose everything in my freezer. He returned the next morning and installed the correct breaker. While here, I asked him to check a non-working hall light. It turned out to be just a bad switch, which he replaced, and he also checked on my outside light which was no longer working from the timer switch. I asked what I owed, and was pleasantly surprised when the amount was just under his original estimate. I asked if he didn't need more, to cover the cost of installing the new switch. He said his price covered the time spent and supplies, and since I lived not that far from his home, he didn't require more money for the two trips. I was very pleased, and astonished, especially after some previous, negative experiences with repairmen who don't find nor correct problems, but nevertheless want their trip charges and don't want to honor estimates given by their company, or spend over half an hour in their truck writing up the bill and talking on the phone, and expect me to pay for that nonsense half hour as well. And most recently, with an appliance repairman (warranty work on my dryer), who literally lied and said he didn't find me home after I'd waited here the entire day, and then when rescheduled, showed up after 5:00 two weeks later and spent 10 minutes doing nothing but turn on my dryer, pronouncing it hot enough, and then leaving. I insisted on someone else, who actually took the time to check it out and found it got hot and then promptly shut off, hence 90 minutes on auto dry with my clothes still wet while I just wasted electricity. That thorough and responsive person ordered the parts I needed and promptly returned to install them, just as Mr. McCabe promptly solved my electrical problems. I need to put the appliance repairmen (both the no-show grandstander and the actual repairman) on Angie's list as well. But back to Mr. McCabe--he gets an A+++

Mc Cabe took the time to go with me over the options I had. I am a single female, and it was refreshing to have a professional out that didn't talk down to me, but had a genuine interest to solve my electrical problem. He was able to find a solution making the problem simple and inexpensive to fix. Don Mc Cabe came out and was friendly, punctual and returned all calls. This is so RARE since buying a house in Billings, MT in December 2007 (as I will submit in other company reports).
