Elkhorn did an outstanding job from start to finish. Their bid to replace our driveway was significantly lower than the competition. Final price was exactly what they quoted in the estimate. The old driveway was ripped out and a new one poured in two days. This is a family owned business that takes great pride in their work. I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Tear out and replace an existing driveway.

Retaining wall would have fell over in as little as 10 days if I didn't have it taken down. Consulted other contractors and two engineers and they all agreed the wall was grossly under engineered and was leaning almost 12" off of plum. Turns out the engineers found a lot more problems with the design and construction as well. The contractor also failed to pull the necessary permits, and in fact did not try to get a permit and never asked for one from the city. City inspectors have never heard or inspected his work. I tried to work with the contractor but he didn't care. He had my money and said if it falls to call my insurance company and make a claim. I eventually had to sue Elkhorn Concrete and Paul Meyers. I finally got a settlement check this past week. This guy is a fly by night concrete contractor. My first red flag should have been when he had to rent the frames for the wall. Amazingly, he accused me of paying the engineer to say what I needed him to say. I get a second engineer recommended by the city planner. Needless to say, this guy should be digging ditches, not constructing anything more than lincoln logs. It's amazing how many people he must have fooled. He makes big claims about his company and experience, all of which have proved to be false.
Description of Work: Was supposed to build a retaining wall to support a driveway and vinyl fence.
