Description of Work: I called Dennis the first week in May of 2014 to do some bathroom remodeling & a few other items that needed to be done around the house. I met with Dennis the day after I called him and we looked at the house. I thought he was interested in doing the job but it's 3 months later and he has never given me an estimate on doing the bathroom. We had a hail storm the 17th of May and Dennis said he was interested in doing the roofing on several of our houses that got damaged. He looked at each of the houses and I finally received an estimate, the first part of July, and the estimate was double what the insurance was paying and he wrote on the estimate to get a second opinion from a bigger company. I haven't heard from him since.

 + -1 moreArtisan Builders showed up at 8:00 am everyday. You could set your watch by them. They worked to 12:00noon, and then took exactly 1 hour for lunch. Thy then worked until 5:00 pm. They were punctual and worked the entire time they were on the job. Worked was very professionally performed. Even thought the job was planned by a professional architect, Dennis Olsen (owner of Artisan Builders) provided extremely useful design and construction suggestions. I have used Artisan Builders in the past, and I will continue to use them in the future. I would recommend them anyone.
Description of Work: Major remodel on entrance to home.Included new porch, driveway, sweeping steps, retaining wall, and interior remodeling not associated with entrance.

 + 7 moreDennis, the general contractor has a down to earth and straight-forward approach that we appreciated very much. There were so many decisions to make and his guidance was invaluable. He didn't try to push us into buying things we didn't need or want and gave us great advice throughout the entire remodeling process. Dennis was efficient in coordinating all of the various services and kept in close contact with us so we always knew how much progress had been made and what too expect next. The people he had working with him seemed trustworthy and reflective of the quality that Artisan Builders has to offer. I'm happy to report we didn't experience any major delays or fiascos of any kind. Our pathetic looking 1950's kitchen is now amazing! It is the first room you see when entering the house,everyone has paid compliments the minute they come in. I would recommend Artisan Builders to anyone and have done so on numerous occasions already. The bathroom is definitely next.
Description of Work: I don't believe the remodeling of our original 1950's kitchen could have gone much better. Everything was removed,subfloor and all. No walls were moved or altered, but the window over the sink was moved to center it. The layout of the kitchen was reconfigured making it much more spacious and efficient. It was suggested that the refrigerator be moved and although I was a bit nervous about it I agreed. It turned out perfect! New cabinets, appliances, flooring, countertops, paint, fixtures, plumbing and electrical were all installed. Additionally, the front foyer was stripped of its wall paper, repainted and new flooring was installed.
