Description of Work: I wanted an estimate for furnace replacement. A time was set up from "9:30 and 10:00 a.m.". When nobody showed up, I called around 9:50 to confirm the time given was accurate and I was transferred to another person to help with my request. After 3 questions, I was given a quote around $1000 higher than anybody else?? I would not recommend ACT to anybody I know.

Description of Work: We have been an ACT "Silver" Protection Plan member for a few years. They service our furnace and air conditioner. Our 28-year-old furnace had a break down last Tuesday and it was pretty obvious that we either risked more expensive nickel-and-dime problems, or we could as Silver members get a new furnace installed by ACT at a much reduced cost that if we had gone "open market." We had our new furnace installed and working THAT Friday! Plus they turned us on to state tax rebate and MDU rebates for have they old unit replaced with a high efficiency gas furnace.

Description of Work: Called them to come fix a furnace they initially installed. They showed up without the proper parts, charged for an estimate and didn't come back and work on the unit until the end of the next day. Furnace failed again and waited for them most of the third day. All in all we paid them for three calls. two days of labor and had to use three vacation days waiting for them.

Description of Work: We replaced our furnace and AC with new, energy efficient units. The workmen arrived at the time we were told, completed the work in a timely manner, explained the use of the new units to us in detail and went through the warranty paperwork and rebate paperwork. We were very satisfied with the company, their employees and their work! We would recommend them to friends and family!

Description of Work: The inducer on our furnace was making odd noises that made me think we were headed for a breakdown. Plus the electrostatic filter system was making entirely too much noise (although not the popping sound inherent with this type of filter system). I called ACT and they showed up very promptly (next day) as promised at the exact hour promised. ACT's technician located the problem (a slightly broken sqirrel case), found a replacement for this part and installed it, and advised me on a replacement filter that I was able to locate at the nearby ACE hardware and install myself. Excellent, quick, and reasonable service. I signed up for a maintenance plan for the furnace and our AC because of this. I feel very secure with ACT.

Description of Work: Needed AC service July 2011 and was able to get same day response...a big plus! ACT also installed new gas furnace, air conditioner, & additional duct work for me in 1998. Price was fair & quality of work was excellent. I've used them for service & repair several times, as I own rental properties.
