Steven Jones is a general contractor who specializes in building and remodels. He reroofed one of our properties. If I need to have another property remodeled or if I decided to build a property, I would feel comfortable using Steven Jones and Maker General Contracting. The reroofing project he did for us this fall went great. Steven Jones, the contractor, was wonderful to work with. He communicated well with my husband and myself. He also communicated well with our tenants in the home. Steven was patient with us as we selected a color for the roof. He even went above and beyond by getting a bundle of the color and lying it out on the roof so that it might be seen in a larger quantity. We felt completely comfortable with him and with his workers. Our tenants in the home told us a number of times that they felt good about Steven Jones and his crew and trusted them. Even when the weather got bad, they persevered and got the job done. Steven seemed to think about the home as if it was his own. At no additional charge to us he put down 2 layers vs. one layer of ice and water shield on our sun room. (The sun room does not have much slope so he wanted to provide extra protection to it for us.) We had discussed with him installing a rain diverter above the front door entrance of the home. He put that in. And, he also put in, with no additional charge to us, but because it was the right thing to do, a rain diverter on our back deck above the sliding glass door. He also added additional venting for us. Steven gave us updates through the project and answered any questions that I had. He also provided us with photos of the project. He did a good job of clean up during the project and then a thorough clean up when the project was completed. The total project was completed within the time frame that I was told at the beginning. I would be happy to use Steven Jones and Maker General Contracting services again.
