The company rocks! The owners are very professional and the work they did was exceptional. Do yourself a favor and get these guys to build your fence, arch and electrical gates. They do a neat and tidy job and leave properly looking top notch.

I would HIGHLY recommend Beartooth Arch and Fence for your fencing needs. These guys (and Alta!) are the most professional, skilled, and efficient group of guys (and gal) I've ever seen in the construction business! I called Beartooth in May to get a quote for standard 6' privacy fencing. Based upon what we were looking for, Brook was able to get me a linear foot cost for the fence and discuss gate pricing. I told him his price was fair and we set an appointment to have a formal measurement and discuss options. Brook and his foreman, Kyle, came by early on a rainy weekday morning (even when they can't build fence due to weather, these guys are working!) Brook and Kyle made several suggestions that I hadn't thought of. Most importantly, Brook recommended doing a ranch style gate with pickets attached, rather than a double swing gate traditionally seen on 8' wide openings. GREAT SUGGESTION!!! Brook worked with our schedule regarding our continual landscaping and we determined a best date to start building. Lumber was dropped on our site on a Thursday morning, and Kyle, along with two other laborers, showed up around 1pm to begin setting posts. I thought there was no way they would be able to set nearly 40 posts before I got home from work at 5:30pm. Lo and behold, every post was set, in concrete, arrow straight! They showed up the next day to complete construction at about 7:30am. By the time I returned home at 6:00pm, they were finishing up the last few touches. To say their efficiency of work is impressive would be the understatement of the century. Furthermore, I've met countless contractors and laborers. Brook and his crew are hands down the most professional, polite, efficient, accommodating, and friendly group I've likely ever seen. A few small changes were made on the fly, and even a couple cosmetic changes as they were finishing up. These guys took it in stride, said "absolutely", "yes sir", etc. I cannot speak highly enough of their professionalism and attention to small details - even pointing out things I hadn't thought of. Kyle ensured that I had his and Brook's contact info prior to leaving, just to ensure that if I had any problems, I would be able to contact them. Best part of all? These guys cleaned up VERY well after themselves. How many contractors do YOU know that do that??? Long story short? You absolutely CANNOT go wrong hiring Beartooth Arch and Fence for your fencing needs!

Beartooth Arch and Fence installed over 1,500 feet of Jack Leg fencing on our property in preparation for horses. They also installed a hitching post and gates as well. From day one Brook and Alta were great to work with. They offered suggestions on what might work best for our project. The materials used were of high quality and the pricing was very competitive. Communication during the course of the project was open and easy. Brook was very attentive to our needs. The project went exactly as planned and the whole crew was a joy to work with. Being a business owner myself I very much appreciated the professionalism and high standards of the whole team and we couldn't be happier with the results. Our neighbors are envious of our new fence! The team took great pains to do the job right and were very meticulous with the layout of our fence making sure all the fence lines came out perfect. I give Beartooth Arch and Fence my highest recommendations. If you need a fence and want it done right Beartooth Arch and Fence is for you.

Brooks, Alta and team are awesome. We tried to get a fence built last fall, but we ran out of time prior to the snow flying. I was in contact with Brooks once the spring hit and he was very communicative about a start date. We had a deadline in mind for an event at our house, and it was met! The team was great - professional and courteous and above all, wanted to make sure we got what we wanted. I would hire Beartooth Fence again for any fencing needs.

Pros: --Brook was quick to respond to my request for an estimate. --He seemed knowledgeable (e.g. he immediately knew how to build an 8ft gate which spanned a significant slope). --He worked with us on things we wanted done differently. --The guys on his crew who did most of the work were very polite and did their best to build a solid and attractive fence. Cons: --Be sure to get all the details in writing up front. Verbal and vague written agreements tended to change as work progressed. One example (there were others) is when Brook did the estimate, he specifically asked what kind of stain we wanted to use so he could get the estimate as close as possible. Later, when we decided to do the staining ourselves, the price was not reduced because Brook claimed he hadn't included staining in the initial estimate. Due to the fact that Brooks estimates and billings are not very detailed, I had no way of disputing this. --Brook got his crew started, but then pretty much left them here to do the work. He introduced one of the guys as the foreman, but I found out later that the guys doing the work (including the and quot;foremanand quot;) had only been building fences for one month and their experience consisted of building one type of fence for a new construction project. They had never built a shadow box fence like ours, nor had they built a fence at a house with existing landscape. --Brook typically uses nails. We had to pay extra in labor for screws. --Brook's normal method for setting the posts in concrete is to place the post directly on the ground in the hole then fill the hole about halfway with concrete. He claims this is because most people want to fill the remaining hole with dirt and plant grass right up around the post. We provided rock which the crew put in the bottom of each post hole at no additional cost. Also, when we saw how the concrete had been done, Brook put more concrete in each hole, but he brought it barely to ground level (in a few places it was still below ground level), it didn't slope away from the posts, and it certainly wasn't aesthetically pleasing. --Once the fence is built, the norm for Beartooth is to use a handheld circular saw turned on its side to trim the posts to the appropriate height. This causes the tops of the posts to be a bit uneven. Additionally, I now have a lovely slice in the siding on my house where the fence connects. --There was no walk-through at the end. I only knew the guys considered the job done because I saw them packing everything up and I went out and asked if they were finished. They said they were and they left. Afterward, my husband and I went out to look at the fence and discovered that they had trimmed the bottom of the pickets on the east side but not the west. This was the Thursday before the Memorial Day weekend. I called and left Brook a voicemail asking when someone would be coming back to finish. When I didn't hear back from him by midday Friday, I sent him an email. He called Tuesday morning and came out himself and finished trimming the boards. After he was done, he claimed the guys weren't suppose to have trimmed the boards at all so we had gotten ours trimmed from free. Since this very issue had been the topic of discussion on the second day of work, I didn't find this statement to be credible. However, if it is true that trimming the bottom of the boards isn't a normal part of the job, be aware that this will leave most of the pickets buried in the dirt. All said and done, we have a sturdy fence, but certainly not a quality fence. If you are looking for craftsmanship or simply quality workmanship, you will want to look elsewhere. The guys actually doing the work did their very best, but they lacked experience and direction. Additionally, the methods they had been taught were not those that would produce a high quality fence.
