Description of Work: Fixed my microwave with a reconditioned part. It included a one-year warranty. We had a hard time finding a nuke that would fit in the designated space in the kitchen, so we were happy and relieved they could fix it for less than the cost of a new one and on the same day that I brought it to them.

Description of Work: I am having problems with my washing machine. I called Northland and they gave me a service window from 1-4 pm 2 days after I called (the appointment was set for a Friday). At 4:15 I called to see where he was. I was assured he was finishing up at another appointment and would be there shortly. At 5 minutes to 5 he arrived. He spent about 10 minutes with my machine but then said that he didn't have the information on the codes needed to work on it. He said he would have people at the office research the repair codes and get back to me for the repair on Monday. He left without charging me but it is now Thursday of the next week and I have still not heard anything else on this repair from northland. I've called another repair service to get my washer repaired. Will not bother with them again.

Description of Work: Our washing machine would not spin nor would it pump out the water. We called them in the morning and they came out at about 2:30PM, having called to say they were on their way. When I explained the problem, Bob said that the water pump was probably plugged up. After he examined it, he found a tiny drill bit had blocked the blades in the pump motor. He removed it, tightened the pump against the frame with cable ties to lessen vibration and its noise. The washer worked fine when he was done. Everything was left clean and tidy. Good experience.

Description of Work: My dryer had stopped heating. I called on a Monday, Dave came out on Tuesday. Took the whole dryer apart to find the problem, fixed it and put it together within about 45 minutes. Courteous, timely, honest and pleasant.

Description of Work: Dishwasher was leaking water on floor; water would drain during cycle but then over time filled up again and got into dishwasher door as well as leaking out onto floor. Also broken spring for door. Door was fixed on first visit and dishwasher appeared to be working fine. However, repair person had to come back for second visit because water leaked on to floor again. Repair person then realized that the valve that should have prevented water from entering the dishwasher after the dishwashing cycle was complete was not working.....hence the leaking water and water filling up in the dishwasher. Leaking valve was replaced, repair person took door apart to be sure it was ok and dishwasher is working fine.
