Lighting Gallery by Nesco

I have visited NESCO's Lighting Gallery four times in the past three weeks. The first time I visited the gallery, I just looked at their merchandise. The second time I visited the gallery, I purchased two lamps, two light fixtures, and five ceiling fans with light kits. The third time I visited the gallery, I went to pick up my order. The fourth time I visited the gallery, I had to return to pick up a lamp that they had not given me when I went to pick up my order. They took about 20 minutes to search for the errant lamp, but finally located it. When the contractor got ready to install the ceiling fans, we had the fans and the light kits but no decorative shades for the light kits. When I telephoned, the sales representative that had assisted me told me that she thought I was going to reuse the shades that were on the ceiling fans that I was replacing. Since I was redecorating - and had told her that on my second visit to the store, I don't know why she thought I would want to reuse old globes. She should have asked me if I wanted new globes; I assumed the globes came with the light kits when she didn't inquire about my choice for decorative shades. I found all four of my visits to the gallery altogether unpleasant. The sales staff were rude, almost surly. I guess they have enough business that they don't have to be courteous to customers. When I had to return to Tupelo to purchase some other supplies for the contractor, I asked at another Tupelo business if he could recommend a lighting merchant other than NESCO and commented that I didn't want to return to NESCO because the sales representatives were so antagonistic. The merchant replied that NESCO was known to be an unfriendly business and that he would recommend that I go to Lowe's. I went to NESCO in the first place because I wanted expert assistance and quality merchandise. I think the lights and fans are excellent; it's the service that I received that makes me not want to return to NESCO.
