They were prompt and stayed at it until the work was completed. They cleaned up and left without my having to do anything else. For the work done, the price was fair. They also offered suggestions without being pushy and I intend to follow up with a couple of them.

Electrician arrived on time and completed the work quickly. I was really impressed with the cost (or lack of cost) involved. I would definitely use this company again and recommend it to others.

David quickly diagnosed the problem, performed the repair (fixing the original wiring), flipped the breaker and tested the outlet.

Could not have been better. Totally customer oriented.

This is the second time I have used Mayfield Electrical Service and I'm very happy to have found an electrician I can count on. This is my go to guy. I joined Angie's list for the sole purpose of finding these kind of trust worthy people when in need.

I contacted David late Wednesday evening. I had a reply almost immediately. He informed me that he would be out of town the next day but could come Friday. He stayed in touch Thursday and told me an approximate time he could come by on Friday. He called Friday morning and gave me a heads up that he was on the way. The work was completed in a timely manner. It's refreshing in this day and time to find a business owner as friendly, knowledgeable and professional as David is. I will definitely use Mayfield Electrical Services in the future and recommend him to friends and family.

Mr. Mayfield gave me an appointment for a Tuesday morning when I called on a Thursday morning. He arrived at my house at the appointed time and after I explained what I needed, he went right to work. He was very courteous in person and on the phone. He was dressed and groomed appropriately. When he completed the work I asked for, he asked if there was anything else he could do. I mentioned my front porch fixture, that I wasn't sure it was working. He cheerfully went to the front porch. When he removed the top of the fixture to check it, there was a wasp nest in it that I didn't know was there. I ran when the wasps flew out, but he wasn't bothered by this; he got wasp spray from his truck and took care of them. He tested the light fixture and said, "All it needs is a bulb." He waited while I fetched a bulb and he put it in the fixture. Before he left he told me that if I wasn't happy or had any trouble with anything he had done I should call him and he would come back. Later that day one of the outlets he had fixed stopped working again. I called and after he apologized, he came back on the day and time we agreed on. He checked something in the attic this time, and I think he said he replaced a neutral wire. I'm not sure about that. The outlet has worked fine since then.

He was there about 2 hours after I called. He knew exactly how to repair the lights and checked out everything else.

David quickly diagnosed the problem in my child's room, a blown transformer on the track lighting system that was not repairable. He also determined that the recessed light fixture needed to be replaced. On his initial visit, he was able to install two of the new outdoor fixtures with one being broken. Two days after I purchased a fan with a light kit for the child's room and exchanged the broken outdoor fixture, David returned to install them and to replace the defective recessed light. He even repaired the holes in the ceiling caused by the track lighting.

Service call went very well. Representative showed up on time, investigated the problem and then fixed it. Great attitude, very professional. Would be happy to use them again and recommend them to others.

The repairman was friendly and efficient. I gave them a "B" in responsiveness only because it takes a while to get an a/c repairman in August in Mississippi. I had an idea of what was wrong, and he confirmed and fixed it. Made sure to tell me before he left that if the unit went out within a short time, to call them back, because it would be covered under the same warranty call, and I would not have to pay another fee.

Mr. Mayfield is very professional and courteous. He arrived on time and cleaned area of all trash when he finished each day. I will definitely use him for all of my electrical needs in the future and highly recommend him.

I had previously bid this job out so I had a pretty good idea of the cost. I asked David if he would do the job, since David had already repaired my previous electrician's work on another job. David's price was very competitive and inline with my expectations. David arrived on time, completed, cleaned up and left a bill in my door, (I was out). Here is the catch - everything works. Finally, an electician I can trust...

I called David on Thursday to see if he could determine why a breaker for our landscape lights was being thrown. David scheduled the appointment for 8 am on Friday. He was at our house at the scheduled time and figured out what the problem was within minutes. He made the repair, then verified that things were working correctly. Cleaned up, put pine straw back in place and did not step on any of our plants. I could not tell that he had just dug up my flower bed. Great job.

Hands down the best experience I have ever had working with an Electrician. When I called Mayfield Electric he responded immediately and was at my house within 1 business day. Our sewage treatment system was tripping the breaker. Mr. Mayfield determined that the pump had failed. It was late in the day, so he ordered the parts last evening. He picked them up and installed them this morning. Mr. Mayfield is truly a pleasure to work with. He responded to my call in a timely manner, and now, three days later, the work is all done. He was very accurate in finding the problem, ordered parts, and the work was finished the next day. The yard was cleaned up and you can't tell that any digging went on. He picked up all trash, too. He is professional, yet very personable and easy-going. I encountered none of the problems mentioned in earlier evaluations. I would not hesitate to call Mayfield Electric again, and I would highly recommend him to anyone. You do have to remember that he is a one-man company, so may be a little backed up when you call. If you don't have an emergency and can wait for him, it will be well worth it. A+++++ service. Thanks!!!

it didn't, wouldn't respond

First of all, when I had read all his glowing reports I knew I needed someone of his caliber, and yet there was the one review that ran him down for talking to much.. I weighed it along with all the other ones and decided to take the chance. Well he didn't talk to much at all! It is obvious when you meet him he is professional and appropriate. That person must have had an axe to grind and I am sure there is more to that story but I can assure anyone debating on calling him you will be so glad you did!! He is now on my speed dial! Went above and beyond to find and fix problems and so reasonable financially I couldn't believe it! I A good electrician is hard to find and I am so glad Angie's list had him!

Excellent electrician. Does outstanding work.

Easy as 1-2-3 once the owner/operator decided to do the job. Normally, he did not take out-of-state requests for service work but I am glad he changed his mind. Since the repair, I have heard no complaints from the tenants about the work completed.

It was a great experience. They were very professional. They showed up on time and did the work. It was reasonably priced and it is still working.

Very responsive and it is a one man operation. He was quick and got the job done right.

Mayfield was very busy, so scheduling took a little while, but I was not in immediate need so I instructed them to get to me when they could. When the appointment was set up, Mayfield was timely in addressing my needs, showed up on time and finished the job for less than was estimated.
