+ -1 moreOn Thursday night we noticed our A/C unit was making an unusual sound. I removed the vent and saw the coil had started to freeze up. I turned it off and called R & G on Friday morning. The call was taken and I was told that she did not know his schedule but would pass it on to him. Given that current temps were in the high 90's with humidity I needed A/C before the weekend. Within 3 hours Ricky was here. He accessed the situation and resolved the issue. My coil was leaking. He added Freon. Then he took the time to explain where the problem was. He told me that we need a new coil but what he did should hold until next spring. He gave me an estimate on a replacement. He could have just as easily told me that I needed to get the coil now but he was honest in his assessment. My total bill was $128.20 including the service call and 2 pounds of Freon. Whether we wait until next spring or go ahead and do it now I will use R & G for the service.
Description of Work: Assessment of Freon level in 4 ton A/C unit. Examination of inside coil for leaks. Added Freon on outside unit and then waited to see that inside coil was properly cooling.
