Installation went fine... had to run new ductwork which was fine... Airhandler is very noisy (turbulent flow) and no real remedies were provided. After 4-5 months unit froze solid... apparently a leak in evaporator... took 6 weeks to get a new one (but honestly I think they forgot about ordering it until I contacted them after 4 weeks when the unit froze again)... When unit came in and was replaced... serviceman said he thought the expansion valve was just not tightened (and hence the leak) because he had to transfer it to the new coil... someone should have caught that early on... Overall they were very nice about the installation and repair, just think some things could have gone better...

They did a very efficient job, completing each task in a timely manner. It has been several years since we have used their services as personal issues have intervened.

Our experience with Hollis Brothers was very unpleasant. I left several phone messages requesting an evaluation and estimate and never received any return calls. Finally, I got someone live on the phone (one of the owners) and he acted as if I was wasting his time by asking for an estimate. He did come to our home, ostensibly for an estimate, but he did not even look closely at our system. The entire time his attitude was very rude and dismissive and he told us we would just "have to deal with it" that the second story was warmer than the first. He had no solutions or suggestions, even when I kept prompting him with questions like "Would an additional air return help?" and "What would you recommend as the best strategy?" Needless to say, we will never be calling Hollis Brothers again.

When I told them I had a unit under warranty, she told me I would have to wait until all the non-warranty work was completed. She also told me if another non-warranty job came up, I would get pushed back. Thus, I had no time frame for their arrival.

They were quick to provide a quote that (compared with others) was a good price. They provided prompt delivery of the unit and installation. I purchased a unit to get the tax benefit. However, they installed the wrong heater in order to get the credit, but when I notified them, they were quick to come out and install the correct unit.
