Initially, the staff showed up late in my drive way and then sat in their cars smoking cigarettes for about half an hour until their boss came onto the scene. The "boss" was reportedly bringing their cleaning supplies. When the contractor entered my home it was clear that the boss was not going to remain on scene and was anxious to leave the work site quickly after dropping off the supplies for the two-person crew to use. As I walked around my home to explain which areas needed to be cleaned and explained the term "deep cleaning" to the crew their attention was not focused on any instructions.
During the 2-hour cleaning routine one of the crew members damaged a window blind and then fabricated a story as how the incident occurred. When the crew left, this member did not inform the supervisor of the damage even though I had instructed then to do so. I had to follow up afterwards with the supervisor and inform her of the damage. It took approx. two weeks for the blind to be delivered to my home. I had to replace the blind in the window myself.
As the crew was leaving my home I asked if they had swept under my living room couches. Their reply was "negative." I had to asked them to perform that task. I also had to repeatedly ask crew members to dust certain pieces of furniture.
