Better than expected! Will use them again

The owner of the company initially took about two hours of his time giving us an initial quote, carefully explaining everything as he went and even giving advice on selling our home, home inspection, etc. He was very patient in his explanations in persons and price negotiations by email, despite the fact that we're newbies (only buying our second home) and had a lot of dumb questions and kept changing our mind about what we could afford to do in the house. Their priced are very fair for the high quality of work they do, and I'd pay more just to have the lack of stress of dealing with such a hassle free company. They are a company with several crews, so it isn't just one guy in charge of his own schedule who can't help at all if he's booked. There are a lot of guys who can come work, so when I told them that my home repairs had to get done fast, they were the only ones I could find in town who were able to accommodate that. The crews that showed up worked quickly and competently. With this company, you don't have to worry that they won't show up - you have to worry that they'll show up while you're still in your pajamas! Awesome. The guys on the crew seemed like really genuinely good guys. They all chatted the whole time they worked, and never once did I hear foul language or unsavory talk. On the contrary, it was nice to hear the more experienced workers mentoring the younger ones with advice and information on everything from how to remove dirt dauber's nests, to relationships, to the latest discoveries about a creature that can survive the vacuum of space! Ha! I was especially appreciative of their wholesome talk since I have a toddler who repeats everything he hears! As for the work itself, it was excellent. I couldn't give a good enough review. Everything was done quickly and competently. In short, they came very well recommended to us, but still managed to all our expectations. Thanks, Round Da House!!!

I could not be more pleased with the work. Mike is so easy to deal and Roberto and his assistant(the ones who did the work) did a great job. The price was very reasonable and, much to my surprise, they gave me a senior citizen discount. If you are looking for the right person for this type of work, save yourself some time, look no further.

Excellent. The crew was fast and friendly. The owner Mike is very easy to reach and work with. They charged me a great deal less than the original estimate - based on changes to the work they needed to do and the hours they recorded. Needless to say, I was pleased and surprised. Would highly recommend.

Mike Woodson and the guys he used were great, especially the painter, Gary. Always showed up early, and never stopped working. I was extremely pleased with everything they did. He always got back to me right away and answered every question.

They were extremely professional and polite in all of their dealings with us. They were also very punctual and thorough while paying great attention to detail. Their price was well in line with other bids and when coupled with their workmanship proved to be the "biggest bang for the buck". Round 'Da House has done many projects for us and will continue to do projects in the future.

Professional in every aspect of the work.

He was very nice and showed up on time for appointment. I never heard back from him though about quotes and cost of services that I asked for.

He came out and diagnosed our AC unit and clearly stated that we needed our coils to be cleaned. This was after three other AC companies came out and told us that we needed an entire new unit, inside and out. It took him about an hour and a half to clean the unit and after three weeks of wasting time and money our unit is back in action.

We had a sizable garter snake surprise us in our home one night, and after investigating we found that our dryer vent had somehow been damaged. When we called Mike the next day he was able to get someone out to meet us within a couple of hours, and later met with Mike's partner Dorsie in that promised time-frame. We were really surprised to be able to get this looked at in such a short amount of time, and considering our situation this was a huge relief! We both walked around the exterior to search for any other possible entry for a snake, after seeing no issues he got the new dryer vent installed with no trouble. He had also given me some great advice about a problem we were having with another contractor. Overall they were both very friendly and helpful. The whole process went very smooth. Will definitely use them in the future.

I called and left message, but Mike never returned my call.

Removed old electric heating system from attic; laid some temporary flooring down for workspace; rerouted gas line to water heater and installed additional line to connect new gas heating system; installed new gas heating system in attic. Prior to installation, had to remove attic stairs to make room to pass heating system from inside house to attic and after completion installed new set of stairs to replace old stairs that had become worn and dangerous to use - this was an add on and cost an additional $395.00 for the stairs and installation. After all work was completed, as well as during the process, they maintained a clean work area. After completion, they completely cleaned up all areas.

This was a very good experience. This was a difficult install (one that the big box store installer said could not be done) because of new tile on the floor in front of the existing dishwasher. It was a tight spot to get the new one in. Mike had it in and working fine in about an hour and a half. This company is my first call for jobs around my house.

My house was in bad need of exterior paint, new porch posts, and minor wood repair in several places. Mike and his crew did all this work on time and very well. While doing this work, he discovered a minor electrical problem which he repaired after bringing it to my attention. I made a couple of small changes mid-job and he responded to these with ease. I used Mike because I had previous experience with his work when he repaired my air conditioner. That work was also reasonably priced and done well.

Earlier work was very good overall, quality-wise. Workers were very knowledgeable, professional and competent. Punctuality and professionalism was good for all workers. Follow up work pertaining only to roof repair was of good quality and responsive to my needs. Inital work was expanded beyond the original estimate, but final pricing structure for base scope including expanded work was not clear - appeared a little high but acceptable. Final (roof) work was of good quality but inconsistant with rates that were expected, i.e. for approximately two to three manhours of work plus time to purchase materials.

Very good work and professional, knowledgeable and competent employees. Generally satisfied with the results. It was difficult to determine if final price was equitable because of the add ons and the minimal articulation of derivation for the numbrs calculated. May have been a little high based on my understanding of incremental labor rates, but total cost seemed acceptable for the scope of the work beyond originalestimate, broad nature of the work and comparison to other contractor rates I have experienced.

He was very helpful and did what he said he was going to do and charged what he said he was going to charge. The price was really reasonable. He didn't try to sell us anything that we didn't need.

Wood around garage doors was ok, but painting was sloppy and I had to redo. When he finished with the thresholds to the doors, one door wouldn't close. He had told me ahead of time there would be a seam, but what he didn't tell me was that he would place poorly sized chunks of wood in that he would not even attempt to line up or sand. I had 3 contractors tell me they had never seen such poor workmanship. One said "he just took your money." When I told Mr. Woodson I didn't like the way it looked and the door wouldn't close, he told me "Saying it doesn't look good isn't enough and he might be able to adjust the door." He also knew I was closing on my house the next day and he said if I didn't pay him immediately he would put a lien on my house. He then proceeded to call my realtor and tell her that I was unable to tell him what I didn't like about the doors and he wanted the name of our closing lawyer. He had told me that he fixed people's problems all the time like the guy on "Holmes on Homes." He became the guy that someone else had to fix his mistakes. We paid him just as one contractor advised to me..."Just to go away." My advice is don't hire Around DUH House. h

Did not come for first appointment 3/9 but did explain the delay when I received a call back on 3/15. Did some of the expected repairs. Was helpful in deciding what should be done.

I was satisfied with their work. They came out promptly. The price was a bit high but they did an excellent job. They did what they said they will do. They finished the work on time.
