Got-Gutter

This is follow up to prior review of 8/2/2017. Now a year after installation I'm updating with some important observations: The 6" gutters and 3x4" downspouts are solid quality. However, the way that the downspouts are attached to the horizontal gutters sections creates a flaw. Rather than using a smooth full-sized manufactured gutter to downspout connection fitting, a cut is made in the gutters and the metal edges bent down. Then the downspout is fitted over the hole/edges and attached with vertical screws into the gutter. This looks fine from outside, but the drain hole opening is a size smaller than the 3x4" downspouts. This reduces the water flow and flow speed that this size gutter and downspout are capable of handling. So, if you have high flow in a heavy rain you will might have water overflow the gutters. If the manufactured connection fittings were used the drain opening would be the full proper size and handle full water volume Additionally, the ends of the screws attaching the downspout to the gutter stick up in the gutter around the downspout drain hole snagging small leaves and straw that would normally pass, and cause the gutters to clog easily. I called for a follow up to check a loose corner of one of the runs and they never showed up.

I chose wisely. They did a excellent job at a reasonable price. Mason came twice before the work: once for the estimate and a second time to entertain my questions and to double check the color he accurately matched to my house trim. Drains well and looks great.
