+ -1 moreI got an estimate from Cory and after the roofer showed up much less repair was required. The roofers boss called me and i told him what the roofer was doing, and the man who owns the roofing company agreed with me that 200 dollars was a fair price for work that was performed. Dependable Tree and Roof apparently does not do their own work and subs out the roof work to a company called WILSON. The roofer who came out was nice enough, and as far as i know he did a good job. He told me that all the job took was a couple of screws and some silicon. This evening i got a very angry call from Cory at Dependable Roofing and Tree and he threatened to get a lean on my house and just was tuff talking. He used language that is not becoming. The bottom line is that the roof service was NOT preformed on the week that we initially agreed upon, and neither was it performed on the second day it was promised. AS for the Tree side of the business, i finally gave up i have texts messages promising several dates for that work to be preformed and it NEVER took place, in desperation i cancelled that part of my contract. I know Cory is having some problems because he told me he was, and i hate to write a bad review in light of that, but his behavior on the phone today was totally unacceptable, and i feel that others need to be warned that this is not someone with whom I would want to deal again

+ 0 moreIt went extremely well. Due to all of the rain, Corey kept in touch as to when he would be able to put the french drain in our back yard. He came as promised and his workers were top notch. They put the drain in a single day. The clean up afterwards was very professional too. Corey listed all of the work to be done as well as a price list. Great job. I will be using his services to lay sod in our front yard at a later date.

+ 0 moreMy yard had gotten wildly out of hand while I was away from home for a couple of months. The flower beds and shrubs had grown up, my roof was covered in pine straw and leaves, the yard was a food deep in leaves and pine straw, weeds, limbs, etc. It was beyond what I could repair on my own. These guys came out and worked for 2 days (even worked on a weekend) to get the job done quickly and wonderfully. I can finally relax when I pull into my driveway knowing I no longer burden my neighbors with the eyesore that my yard had become. These guys were awesome! Corey was super easy to work with, professional, and fairly priced. 10/10 would recommend.

+ 4 moreThey started cutting my grandmother’s grass in 1987 when the owner was just a kid. He has grown it into a business that has kept its customers first. They maintained her property until 2012 when she passed away at 100yrs old and in that 25 years I can say not one time we’re we not happy with the service. If she did not like something they did the owner himself would personally come by and fix it.

Description of Work: I called and asked this gentlemen to come and cut my yard twice at the beginning of the grass cutting season. He made his sale pitch saying he would do it a lot cheaper if I would sign a contract for a whole year. Well I get the contract and after reviewing it, there was no way I would have signed that the way it is written obligating you to 12 months of payments for 9 months of service. Anyways he came 2 times and then sent me a bill. The very next day he came beating on my door demanding payment, which I told him it would be next week at which time he requested me to give him a check to hold and I said no that I would bring him his payment when I get paid the next week. Well get how professional this guy is... the day before I get paid I'm pulling out of my neighborhood when I notice this guy whips around and starts following me, not for a block, but for several blocks throughout town and once we get stopped at red light he pulls up beside me and hollers "Where is my money" I said I will mail it, Which it hollers back NO YOU WANT and if I don't have it by tomorrow I will sue you! Hey I get it, $80 is owed to me I would want it paid too, but what gets me is what this professional lawn service owners says to me next with my 19yr old son sitting in between us...YOU want to pull over up her and lets settle this? I was still reeling from the fact he wanted to sue me but when he requested me to pull over and lets fight this out?? What in the world have I gotten myself into. So take my advise Madison, Ridgeland, and Jackson MS. DO not get involved with a thug that is pretending to be a professional lawn service provider. I do not understand why this guy Corey Staten thinks it's ok to go around and threaten a person over $80 in front of their son. Well I guess he doesn't care that I have pressed charges against him. I just would not want to see any other people of our nice community get involved with this guy, but then again maybe the payment I owed was going to make or break his company. Regardless it was an terrible experience for me and my family.

I was amazed at how Corey and his team went about dissecting all those trees and brought each piece down safely and hauled all debris off and cleaned up to perfection. I was thoroughly pleased. All work was performed as promised and in a timely manner. Corey and his team worked tirelessly to see the job to completion and was so very careful to not cause any damage. Not even one shrub was damaged. I recommend you contact Corey Staten for all your landscaping needs but especially for professional tree removal! Art Branch Ridgeland, Ms

He wanted to work with me but I was kind of fishing in a way to see how much it would cost to have somebody else to do it instead of me having to do it. I really did not expect it to be $2000 plus I had them to get all the supplies and everything. He wanted to come down but he was so far just out of my budget that it did not matter. He was really nice. He was prompt and I don't know whether he was out of line. I was really trying to see if I can take short cuts. He tried to work with me.
