Carpetmaster

This was an awful experience. First the company was a no-show on the day we had made the appointment. Rick claimed some kind of scheduling mistake. The appointment was rescheduled for the following day. When his worker arrived the next day, they refused to perform the $99 three room steam clean package unless I purchased additional "pre-treatments, etc." I called Rick and advised that all I only wanted was steam cleaning and he had the nerve to question why I needed any cleaning at all if I didn't have soiling to justify his pre-treatments. He claimed that he doesn't work for that kind of money. I asked him where it stated anywhere in the contract that I was obligated to purchase anything else and he told me that this is the way he does business and it was his way or no way. He was rude and hung up on me. His worker then left my house.

Price was in ad from stating $19 a room, then when they are there i am told its $19 + the $15 presoak which is required so therefore it was more liek $40 per room. The cat pee smell that i was trying to get rid of in one of the rooms is still there after the cleaning. I had to pay even more for the pet soak and its still there. cannot get back intouch with him to redo the cat spot.

As stated above, carpet was in terrible condition. I now would not hesitate to have guests in our motor home. This company is number 1.

I called the next day and had them come out again to hit my master bedroom again because I wasn't happy with it...and they did happily! The carpets look GOOD now. I am happy overall.

Made several attempt to call this company with no success. After numerous rings you get a generic voice mail box. No company name, nothing. Finally, I get a person. He answered Hello? I asked if this was Carpetmaster. He replied, "Who's this". I told him who I was and he said OK... I hung up. I can give me money to someone who respects their potential clients better than this.

The technician arrived promptly and was very professional. He looked at the rooms to be done and gave me an estimate before starting. The carpet was a light beige color and was moderately stained and heavily soiled. He started right to work and finished in less than 2 hours. The carpet looked amazing. I would have never believed that it would have come that clean.

Overall, I was happy with the process.

The carpet in this house is almost 15 years old. Add to that pet stains from previous and present owners. They managed to extricate most of the stains; the ones remaining are much less noticeable. One of my area rugs is wool and almost 30 years old. It was "christened" by one of my cats almost as soon as I brought it home. That stain is not coming out, but the men did the best job they could short of taking it with them and cleaning it in a washer. The other area rug has a bad "ripple" problem on one edge. They worked with it (towels and bricks). It was smooth for about a day and then bunched up again. Overall, I was pleased with the result.

Two workers arrived promptly and on time. They were clean and professional in appearance, and were thorough, knowledgeable, polite and helpful in explaining their services and pricing. Upon agreeing upon a price, their work was quick and expert. The whole carpet was left clean and fresh, including the high-traffic areas. Pet and other stains were removed effectively. The only thing I might wish they'd done differently was that they'd have moved some of my furniture to clean underneath.
