Description of Work: Fixed the dishwasher. Answered promptly,came found the problem obtained the part and fixed it easily. Very friendly. In June his son fixed the dryer and provided the same excellent service.

Description of Work: My daughter had used him before and highly recommended him. I called him 4 times with no return call. He finally 3 times but he never returned my call to let me know he was otherwise occupied. He finally called back 3 days later and said his truck had broken down but he would be here after the weekend. After the weekend passed. he called and said he would be here shortly but he never showed and I have heard nothing further. I am presently looking for another repair service and would recommend that you do the same.

Description of Work: Owner of business came out, looked at refrigerator, said I needed a new fan motor which should take about a week. That was 3 weeks ago. I left a voice mail to check on the status, but that was well over a week ago, and no returned phone call. Very unprofessional!!

 + -1 moreHe showed up on the same day that we called. It was late in the afternoon. The fan had gone out on the fridge. He had to order the part and he got it 2 days later and made the repair. We have used them in the past and will use them in the future.

 + -1 moreJW was extremely professional. Worked around my schedule because I was having other work done at my house. He came on time along with his assistant. He checked every possible thing with our refrigerator and freezer. He could not find a problem. He did offer us some suggestions about moving some items to uncover some vents. Everything has been working fine. He charged us NOTHING since he couldn't find anything. I did offer to pay, but he told me not to worry about it - just consider them again next time. What more could you possibly ask for???
Description of Work: JW came to check a refrigerator that was making odd noises and we didn't think was cooling properly.

 + -1 moreI thought it was pretty good that they actually fixed it and then showed her how to fix it in the future so they wouldn't have to be called back out. I would use them again if needed.
Description of Work: I used Appliance Specialists to do some appliance work. We had a clothes dryer that had gone out. They came out and fixed it and also showed my wife that one of the issues was a buildup of lint underneath the lint trap. They showed her how to fix it in the future.

Description of Work: I have used this company several times before--once for my washer, stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. My most recent use was with the replacement of my dishwasher. That's what prompted me to write a report. I've been delighted every single time with the work done and can't believe I haven't recommended them before now. J.W. Hames is THE BEST!!! He is extremely knowledgeable about all appliances. I trust him fully and he's never steered me wrong. When I had to replace worn-out appliances, he gave me great recommendations on the replacements and even picked them up for me and installed them. He comes when he says he will and is very personable. I will always use him for all my appliance needs. I just wish he fixed other pieces of equipment.
