Description of Work: Used several times. On this job, re-wired electrical box to meet inspection requirements and installed new lighting in garage.

Description of Work: Removed and replaced existing light fixture junction box over kitchen island and subsequently installed a new light fixture.

Description of Work: I contacted Mr. Horn in November 2011 about 2 projects. I wanted more light in my garage and an exhaust fan in the 8 x 8 storage room to dissipate the heat from the 20 year old freezer. The garage had an existing flourescent light fixture in the ceiling that held two 40watt bulbs. He suggested I purchase a fixture that used the T8 bulbs because they work better at colder temperatures. I got a new fixture that held 4 bulbs and he installed it. It makes a big difference and I am very pleased with his work. At the same time, we discussed the storage room problem with all the heat from the freezer. I was planning to go to one of the big box home improvement stores and buy a bathroom exhaust fan. He pointed out that I would need to turn this off and on, or end up leaving it on all of the time. Bathroom exhaust fans are not made to be left on all the time. It would probably need to be replaced in a year or two. With his advice, I found the right product (right size, right price) on the internet and ordered it. I called him when it arrived and he came back some time in January 2012 to install another flourescent light fixture in addition to the continuous-run exhaust fan in the storage room. He must have been thinking about the situation before he came back to do the installation. He brought something called an "in-line" temperature control box. I set this to 75 degrees. This was installed between the light switch which gave power to the exhaust fan and the exhaust fan. What a genius! The end result is that I leave the light switch on all the time. In the winter, when the room only heats up to 50 or 60 degrees, the in-line temperature control box stops the exhaust fan from running. In the summer, when the room heats up to 80 or 90 degrees, the in-line temperature control box allows the fan to exhaust all the hot air. I couldn't be happier! He listened and understood my problem, made some suggestions and fixed it better than I could have ever imagined. Now that's a Professional !! I bought the flourescent light fixtures and the exhaust fan. I paid him for his time, the in-line temperature control, and a few miscellaneous supplies. He came here twice. I should also mention that another electrician quoted me close to $200 just for labor to install one light and one fan. Not only did Mr. Horn do a better-than-expected job, he did it at a much better price. You can't go wrong with Horn Electrical. I was very flexible in my schedule and had no problems with him working on my projects when he had the time. He seems to stay busy wiring complete houses and other big jobs.

Description of Work: I was referred to Mr Horn by an Electrician I had used in the past. He showed up on the day appointed albeit kinda late. I had two projects for him: Change out/move an outside light switch to an inside location. Install a GFI outlet in my down stairs bathroom.

Description of Work: I used the services of Horn Electrical Services within the past six months. They laid an electrical cable for me in our backyard.
