Imagine that you have your whole family over. Now, imagine that it is thanksgiving and there is sewer water running over your lawn. Who would you call. There is only one right answer. Bubba. He not showed up on a holiday but the Macguyvered an exceptional fix that is working to this day. In this town i would expect nothing but Bubba delivered everything. That was my second time using his services, and I couldn't be more grateful.

I purchased a home in my neighborhood that had been neglected and requires a lot of fix up. I called Mize Plumbing & Electric to help deal with a leak in an upstairs bathroom and "how to" deal with numerous minor electrical issues. Bubba Mize quickly accessed what needed to be done for the leak issue and offered options for the electrical concerns. Since the house is not currently lived in, I offered Bubba Mize a two week window to return with needed parts to repair water leak. He was back in a week with parts and fixed the leaking drain line. He also will be back after the holidays to help clean up an issue in the laundry area and install wiring to allow us to add a dishwasher unit under kitchen cabinet.

The spot lights had been a problem for three years. Three other electricians had come and tried to fix what we had but all failed. The solution each of the previous had was to buy new everything and they would install them for me. Mr. Mize had them working the way I wanted in less than 10 minutes. No issue, no problem and they have worked as requested since. Although it was a pretty small job for Mr. Mize, he was quick, relaxed and did quality work. I have already arranged for him to do more work for me. He was a great find.

Great experience. On a friday noticed a small wet spot on ceiling. I went in attic and found a join that seemed to be leaking a bit. called Bubba and he showed up in less than an hour. He looked at the joint and wondered if moisture may actually be coming from another location (heat exhaust pipe). Instead of just digging into things he recommend we try and diagnose since the volume of water was small and we could collect any that came out. I did as he suggested and narrowed it down to the pvc pipe. I spoke to him on Saturday and he arrived on Monday by 8:30 AM. The job was done by 9:30 AM. He and his employee were extremely polite and even took their shoes off to get to the attic and do the work. the price was very reasonable and really appreciated his attention to diagnosing and not just assuming the problem's root cause.

Perfect results. Bubba came promptly, almost as soon as I called, and within a very short time had the leaky faucet repaired. It is working fine. I have used his services many times in the past years and he quality of work is very professional and he is anxious to please his customers.

Great Service! Rapid Response; rapid service. I called about 9:45 to report water leaking - he called me about 1 1/2 later and met me at house. Completed work in about 30 minutes. Very professional; very nice.

We have been using Mize Plumbing and Electic for over 6 years now, and they have done lots of plumbing and electrical jobs for us, big and small. This particular time it was a smaller job. I had plugged up a mixer in my kitchen and heard a loud POW! and the outlet smoked and it threw the breaker. We called Bubba Mize (the owner) and he sent someone out that day. His representative inspected the outlet and found a piece of loose metal in the outlet. He showed me where it came from (it was part of the old wiring, but I am not an electrician, so I can't describe it). He said, "These outlets are old, and this may happen with the other one if they are wired the same way. Let me go ahead and change them out for you." He changed out the first outlet AND put a new face plate on it. It took the plate off of the other outlet and showed me where the metal was attached, "You see this? This is what fell off. We'll change this one out too." He changed it out and put a new plate on it as well. He then checked the third outlet (which happened to be new b/c Bubba had put it in about a year prior to that) so it was OK. He also checked out our built-in microwave to make sure that it was working OK. I then asked him to put in an additional outlet in my laundry room. I showed him where I wanted it and he looked behind the washer and said, "M'am, did you know that there is an outlet about six inches down from the top of your washer?" And I said, "No, is there?" and he said, "Yes, look.." Sure enough, there was an outlet right there, maybe about a foot or two away from where I was wanting one. He said, "I"ll be glad to put an outlet in for you, but you could probably do just as well with using this one and using a power strip or something, since you have shelves right here. No sense in spending your money if you don't need to." I thanked him and told him we would just use the one we had and if we found that we still needed the additional one, we would get him to come back. He then asked if there was anything else he could do for us, and then left. A few days later, I got the invoice from Mize with a $0 balance. I thought there must be some sort of mistake, so I contacted the CEO, Allyson and asked her about it and she said, "Bubba said Happy Mothers Day!" Which was very sweet b/c I'm not even a mama!! Most electricians would have charged their full service call fee for that job, and they would have been well within their right to do so. That is how they make their living. However, Bubba did that as a blessing to us and we felt so much better knowing that our kitchen was safe. Over the years, Bubba and/or his team have put in three new outlets, rewired our breaker box, put in outdoor drains, installed a new dishwasher--for free, unstopped my garbage disposal at LEAST a half a dozen times, replaced my disposal when I finally tore it up, fixed a broken water line in my front yard (taking great care not to hurt my favorite birch tree---that's a whole review in and of itself!)...I could go on and on. I have even called him on a Sunday afternoon on his way home from church when my mother had raw sewage backing up into her bathtub, and he came right over. If there is a plumbing or electrical need in the Bragg family, it goes to Mize. Period. The amazing thing is, we found him in the yellow pages. We needed an electrician and he is the one that we happened to call. We don't know him outside of plumbing and electric. There is no "reason" for him to be this good to us. He's just a good man, and they are just good people!

We had been experiencing a water leak under our house for about 2 weeks. Mize was recommended to us so we called. First of all he said he would come around lunch time. At 4:00 he called to say he was 30 minutes out. An hour and a half later he finally showed up. We discussed the problem with him and showed him the stream coming out from our crawl space. He had brought another guy with him who went into the crawl space to find the leak. The leak could not be found so we were told we would need to have a trench dug to find the leak before anything could be done. They also said that there was a lot of mold and we would need extensive work done in the crawl space and possibly joists replaced. We were told they were very busy but they would come back in 2 days. We NEVER heard from them again! I called my dad who is a handyman freaking out because I thought our house was falling down. Over the phone he diagnosed the problem as a leak in the hot water line and we turned the hot water heater off and it stopped the leak. After no contact from Mize for a few days we called another plumber who found the leak and fixed it within an hour. The other plumber also told us the mold wasn't very bad and would die off now that the leak had stopped. I have seen the other reviews on Angie's list and I think they were written by family members because I will never call these guys again or recommend them to anyone.

I bought a new toilet and MIZE picked it up and delivered it to the house. the old toilet was removed and the new toilet installed. However, there were some problems with the flange in the floor. It was broken and needed to be replaced, requiring a trip to the store. In addition to that, the new toilet had a chip in the porcelain so they had to bring it back and get a replacement. It didnt turn out to be as simple of a job as it should have been, but they did a great job. And, they cleaned up after themselves. I'm very pleased and have MIZE scheduled to come out to do work on a gas line later this week.

Had them remove and install a new toilet that I had him purchase for me. His choice was excellent and the work was extremely professional. Very high quality work.

Computers,printer, electric light etc all went off when I unplugged one computer. I had accidentally turned off the switch that powered the surge protecter not realizing that there was such a switch. They came and turned it back on and all was well. There was no charge even for the call to come out. I have used this firm many times and have always had great service and will always use them both for electrical and plumbing problems.

Bubba is always very polite and does not come into the house with dirty shoes. His helper was nice and polite also. I was so glad that he came on the day I called. I go to choir tonight as was glad he come much earlier, so I can be ready for church.

I like their fast response and they're very knowledgeable about his trade. He takes care of people who give a second call. If you're a repeat customer he'll make an extra effort to take care of you.

Mr. Mize was just great. Extremely competent, professional, and quickly took care of our 2 problems - one plumbing and one electrical-related in our home. He was extremely fair and was obviously trying to take care of our problems in the most cost-effective manner possible. In particular there is a shortage of good electricians to call on in Oxford and I'm really glad I found Mr. Mize.

Responded very quickly. The job was completed in only a few hours. There was little interruption to my daily schedule.

Due to newly renovated kitchen the installation of on demand hot water dispenser and tank proved to be difficult do to not having a dedicated power source under the kitchen sink and the hole for the fixture not being drilled quite straight. After bit of troubleshooting and a quick trip to the hardware store to buy a drill bit to straighten the opening in the granite countertop (which they went above and beyond to fix a problem that they didn't cause or have a responsibility to fix). I couldn't be happier, everything is functioning 100%, all the work performed looks impeccable, and was performed surprisingly fast considering how much work needed to be done.
