James went over and beyond the job. He saved me money by using leftover building materials he had like glue or nails and even a small amount of laminate flooring I needed for the entryway in the living room. He knows everyone in Oxford and was able to get me a great deal on carpet. He even met the carpet company (I live 5 hours away) and he hauled off the carpet to save me the fee. He also called me and told me the downstairs carpet pad was of very high quality and in good shape so that I was able to not purchase a new pad! He is very honest and dependable.He installed a washer and dryer and mounted a flat screen TV ( no cost). He inspected and installed smoke and CO2 detectors and when one of them went off he call a fireplace person and found a gas leak in the fireplace (no cost). I told him I needed to purchase a used lawn mower he found one for me at a local pawn shop. It was a great deal. I could go on and on... He had agreed to help us move into our house, but then his dad became sick and James was with him in the ER so he sent one of his buddies to help us. Since then he arranged for a friend to replace my daughters' smashed windshield on a Friday and it was ready within 6 hours! My college aged daughter and son have him in their phone directory and I feel secure in knowing that he is willing to help them if they need it. This guy is a godsend. He is an Oxford firefighter and a church member, he is a father figure/mentor to many of the UM athletes. He will do a good job. I highly recommend him.
