Grasshopper Lawn and Landscaping Service

This individual had performed lawn care for me for a number of years. He had removed a tree for me several years ago and hired him to remove a diseased tree in the backyard. He began around the 21st of April and returned on April 25. He removed a few more limbs and told me he was waiting on his crew to come and help him finish. He asked me for payment so he could pay them so I wrote the check. I went out to check progress in a little while and he told me that his crew was stuck somewhere and he had to go and help them. By then it had begun to rain but he told me they would either return that day or in the morning. I never saw him again and the check was cashed. Repeated telephone calls, voice messages and text messages to his number were not acknowledged or returned. A man from another company came to the house May 6, 2013, saying he had been given my lawn care contract & tree removal and he would finish the tree. He rescheduled that tree removal 6 times until I finally became frustrated and hired The Tree Service, Inc. I do not know if this company (GrassHopper's Lawn & Landscape) is still in business but I strongly do NOT recommend this company. This individual stated that he is also working as a local fireman and it is printed on his business cards as such. I was certainly shocked and angry since this person worked for me for approximately 5 years.
