AC Man Heating & Air Cond

A technician arrived Thursday and in the process caused damage to a new circuit board, which we discovered later. The tech left without completing the job and there was no communication about when he might return. We decided to use another service to finish the job. When I called and asked to speak to a manager, a man got on the phone without introducing himself, informed me that my husband shouldn’t have messed with the system himself (he’s an electrician by the way), and refused to allow me to explain my complaint. He then hung up on me. When I called back he hung up again and thereafter refused to answer the phone. I now have no options to explain my issue to the company.

Job was completed early and the price was great. I highly recommend AC Man for anything related to sales and service of HVAC .

Great! Quality work and very honest.

The experience was okay. There was some issue with the job, but they resolved the issue. They weren't able to keep the charge of the Freon. They had to work around it, and they resolved it.

Excellent job. Took quality time to make sure the job was done. The boss even came out for the final phase of the job when his workers were tied up on other jobs. I am very pleased with their work.

A/C Man, William Nix, was absolutely great. Came out to my house, met him at 4:05 and by 4:25, had fixed the AC along with checked and added Freon to the same unit. I also asked him to check our other unit for the second floor of our house. He checked it out, all was well, not even in need of refrigerant. Was in fear of calling someone to fix the AC due to the prices I had heard of from others in need of AC repairs. So glad someone recommended Mr. Nix to us. Will call him again!!!! Might even do maintenance now that I have someone that I can trust to not overcharge us!

After spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars fixing our approximately 15 year central AC, we decided it was probably time for a new one. After quotes from three different companies, AC Man had the best price and offered the same warranty and equipment of the most expensive quote. You will find the owner, Billy Nix, is very easy to talk to. I explained to him how the other two quotes suggested different size condensers--one of them was going to install a 2 Ton, the other one wanted to install a 3 Ton. Billy said that according to the square footage, all we needed was a 2 Ton, but he was concerned about the heat load in the summer as this unit cools the upstairs in my 2-story home--heat rises. He suggested we install a 2.5 ton condenser and so far that seems to have been the right decision because the unit has no problem cooling the upstairs to 72 degrees and does not run constantly. Also I told Billy how another quote included making the return air grill bigger--the bigger the AC, the bigger it should be and mine was way too small even for the old unit. He had no problem doing this without jacking up the price. The system so far has been working great, although I find the blower a bit noisy. Billy said we can decrease the speed of the fan to quite it down a little bit, but he did not recommend doing it. As I said, it is definitely on the loud side, but we like the fact it seems to blow twice as much air as my old unit...it is definitely breezy!. Overall, I am very pleased with The AC Man service, installation and price and would definitely recommend.

We had a brand new AC unit installed by Fosters Heating and Air about 3 years ago. Right in the middle of June, it goes out one night. We made it through the night with fans and my husband called Fosters early the next morning to tell them about the AC going out. It is still under warranty and he told them that I work from home but the receptionist responded with and quot;we are taking appointments for tomorrowand quot;. My husband tried to plead his case with her, that we have a toddler, his wife works from home, etc. but she kept saying and quot;we are taking appointments for tomorrowand quot;. So, he hung up and called AC Man. They showed up that afternoon and accessed the situation. The motor was done and they immediately ordered a new one. But it was in the next state and wouldn't be here until the next day. That was understandable. They also checked to see if our warranty was valid, which it was and it also covered labor! The next day, the repair man returned (pretty earl, around noon) and installed the new motor very quickly. He let me know that although the labor was covered, it would be reimbursed so I paid around $115 that they said I will get back. He was very professional about it and was sympathetic to our situation since we had to stay at a hotel one of the nights the AC was out. I would recommend AC Man over Fosters any day.

They were excellent. We were very pleased. We got a brand new unit and we were very pleased for the unit we got from the price. They had the better price and quality of the unit that we bought than any of the three companies.

Very honest. Did not try to sell me parts I did not need. ONLY CHARGED ME A SERVICE CALL. Also he called me right before he was coming to my house so I did not have to sit at home waiting on him. I appreciated that. Will use him in the future.

Air conditioner stopped working on a Sunday afternoon. Called AC Man and left a message. Bill from AC Man called us back in a matter of minutes. He asked me to describe the issue and I told him the symptoms. The inside blower was working but the compressor and the evaporator fan would not kick on. I also told him that it sounded like the fan was trying to turn. He told me to turn the unit off and the capacitor needed to be replaced. I then asked him to quote me a price and he did. He said he could be at our house the next day at 7 am. He showed up at exactly 7am and had my air conditioner running by 7:10. I then asked him if he would check my refrigerant charge to see if i needed to add any freon. He checked it and said it did not need a charge. Bill charged me exactly what he quoted and did not charge me to check the freon charge even though I told him i would pay him for the time.

In the beginning, my husband called another company who gave us another explanation of how we could fix our AC unit which didn't make sense and cost $2000 more to us. We were also going to have to wait on this until. Mr. Nix not only came out and had us up and running but for the lesser cost and a larger unit that would be more beneficial. It has truly worked and saved on our power bill.

He showed up on time, told me how much it would be, and did the work. He was very professional and honest. He charged me a reasonable amount and I am happy with this company.
