 + -1 moreWe were having problems with a few of our electrical outlets and the bathroom fixtures not working properly and needed to get a professional to take a look at it. We called The Service Company on a Tuesday and they someone at our home on Friday, which happened to be Good Friday. The technician came in and looked at everything and he knew immediately what the problem was. He went to pick up the parts that he needed, came back and installed the parts. He was there 2 hours at the max. Everything is still working properly. I will definitely use their services again.

 + -1 moreI called the business and spoke with the receptionist and told her i wanted an electrician to wire line in from the box to my laundry room for a dryer(old house). Told me someone will call me soon. Guy called me about an hour later and he scheduled to come out in the morning. He was right on time. He did an assessment and told me it would be $300 minimum and possibly $500 total. He showed me step by step what he was going to do. It sounded so simple that I decided to do it myself. I paid him $60 for his one hour of time and consult. Wife didn't understand why he charged us but I knew his time and knowledge was worth the money. Dryer is running perfect with zero problems and up to code.

 + -1 moreOne night the electricity flashed in our home, and I heard a loud pop. My father in law came over to check it out and we found that the electrical outlet in our laundry room (outside under the carport) and exploded. You could tell that it did catch fire based on the soot on the wall, but somehow it put itself out, THANK GOODNESS! We had to take out a loan to cover the expenses of this, but The Service Company was able to come to our home quickly and promptly to resolve our issues. In my opinion $900 is a lot of money, but our safety is more important than any amount of money! Brian, the tech even replaced the outlet in the laundry room, though he said the old one still looked salvageable. He listened to our concerns and did what we felt comfortable with as customers.

 + -1 moreHe crawled up into the attic from a small opening in a bedroom closet. Thank goodness he was small enough to fit through the hole. He did have to use my ladder to go into the entry into the attic. He worked without stopping, called and got the parts he needed and returned within a couple of hours. He also checked the units outside to make sure everything out there was working well. The repair was a little more than I had anticipated, but after the repair we had heat in the upstairs and the downstairs and our gas bill was less because it worked more efficiently.
Description of Work: Heat switch for gas furnace was not working.

 + -1 moreCentral Heating Unit: Purchase and install Gas regulator Clean Central heating and air unit $900.00!@#$% How do you think that went?
Description of Work: The repairmen told me I needed a gas regulator. The part was then oredered. I told them since they were here that I would like them to do a yearly maintainance on my old AC/heating unit. The repairman that stayed then cleand the unit-- ALL DAY LONG--from 11:00 a.m -5:00 P.M. (I really began to worry about my bill). He left for several hours on this assignment to retrieve more Chlorox bleach. As he cleaned, the most courteous repairman kept commenting that the outside unit was quite dirty. When the gas regulator came in, the repairman informed me that he had ordered the wrong part. The problem was corrected in a few days. I was not charged for their mistake, as is appropriate. Nevertheless, I was charged approxamately $900.00. When I call about what I considerered to be an astronomical bill, I was informed that the main part of the bill was the cleaning of the Unit. As I began to ask questions, it was revealed that the repairman had been fired the day after he had done the work at my home. Although, I do not know, I wholeheartedly believe that Service Company employee was let go from the job because he had a history of staying longer at jobs, much longer, than was required, all the time running the clock at the expense of the customer. In brief, my bill was not reduced. I feel that I had been seriously overcharged and, therefore, treated, unfairly.
