Description of Work: I have done business with Broadmoor Carpet & Lighting on several occasions. My second full home installation of carpet. I rated them a D only because they did follow through with what we agreed upon as far as the material and cost. Communications were horrible. My mistake for paying in full prior to installation. I was in no rush to have my carpet installed but they would not commit to a day that the installers could arrive at my home. The salesman who we did business with was not allowed to make any decisions so most information was passed on to the business owner, who only bothered to call us one time. His attitude after the sale was, I will tell you when the installers will come. He did just that. We received a call late in the afternoon the day before and told they would be there at noon the next day. At 1:30 they showed up and only had enough time to install one room of carpet. The other rooms were left bare and a huge roll of carpet was in the middle of our living area. No complaints with the installers but the company gets an F for communication and courtesy. The transition strips where the new carpet meets vinyl or tile were reused, I assume to cut corners and save a few dollars. I take blame for that in trusting that this company would have told me in advance if I needed to purchase new ones. Anyone else I have ever done business with has included that in the installation. My last purchase from this company.

Description of Work: I purchased wall to wall carpet from Broadmoor Carpet & Lighting which included installation. Carpet had to be shipped in and I was in no particular hurry to have it installed. I was called on a Tuesday morning by the sales person and advised my carpet had arrived, when did I want it installed. I told them no rush and next week would be fine, Monday if possible. I received no phone calls from this company confirming a scheduled date for installation. On Friday morning I called to find out they had closed their retail business for the Independence Day holiday. I called Monday morning and the sales person had no idea of when their installers would arrive at my house. I was told my file was handed over to the business owner and he would get back with me. Late Monday afternoon I called and asked to speak to the owner who could not tell me when I could expect the installers to arrive at my home. His attitude was like he was doing me a favor to get the installers to my home. This company lacks the ability to schedule its workload and has poor communications after the sale. Late Tuesday afternoon I was advised the installers were scheduled to arrive between 12:00 & 1:00 PM on a Wednesday afternoon to install three rooms of carpet with furniture to be moved and a hall. They arrived at 1:30 PM and were able to install only one room of carpet leaving two large rolls of carpet and a roll of padding in the middle of our living room. The carpet has been installed for one week now and not the first call from the company to say thank you or ask if we were satisfied with the installation. In fairness the company gave us one price for purchase and installation and there were no surprise charges. The carpet installation was professional and I have no complaints with the installers. I was disappointed, to put it lightly, that the owner/operator had little regard for the inconvenience he caused by failing to just communicate.
