Lowe's was notified of the problem in February, 2015. Southern Appliance covers the warranty work for the extended warranty. The repairman was very courteous and professional. Ordered a part. When he returned to install the part, he told us the "wrong ice maker" was in the refrigerator from the factory. The part he ordered did not fit. Had to come out a third time. Said it was fixed. No ice 24 hours later. It was noted the control arm was not on the ice maker. We were told "it was not needed". Southern appliance was notified still no ice. Came out again. Said they would order whole new ice maker. Came out and installed new ice maker. ( visit number 4, no control arm on ice maker). Still no ice 24 hours later. Southern appliance notified again. Came out again, visit #5. Wires were not connected properly, still no control arm on ice maker. 24 hours later, no ice. Southern appliance called again and informed. At this point, they denied even knowing of the multiple visits, said the repair man did not tell them. It should be noted we called the repairman directly one time. All other calls went through Southern Appliance office. At this point we had to put in another repair ticket through the extended warranty company. A second repairman came out (the owner) and said he would order a new ice maker. Waited a week for new part, came out and installed new ice maker.. AT LAST, we have ice! Unfortunately, we celebrated too early. Now we had water pouring out of the ice maker. Called warranty company again.. Southern appliance came out again. A third repairman said a hose was not tightened properly. We have ice and still have water pouring out. Southernn Appliance notified again. Third repairman comes out again and says the problem is, ARE YOU READY??? NO CONTROL ARM TO STOP MAKING ICE WHEN BIN IS FULL!!!!! So, 5 1/2 months into this simple repair job (and a lot of inconvenience to us, luckily, this is a back up fridge) and we are still not repaired. We are waiting for either a part or another new ice maker.
Description of Work: Southern Appliance was supposed to repair an ice maker in a Whirlpool refrigerator. The ice maker was not getting water supplied to it.the refrigerator was covered through an extended warranty purchased from Lowe's.
