Description of Work: I tried calling for two hours, once every 30 minutes. No answer and mailbox box is full. It would be nice if Angie's list would allow communications via email and track response time like Amazon and others, even Facebook tracks response time.

Description of Work: After retiring this Spring, I wanted to redesign some outside space to accommodate a small vegetable garden as well as enhance flower beds and get a Spring Cleanup of the outside of my house. Great Job!

Description of Work: They completed flower beds with stone walls, terraced the lawn, built a 10X10 garden area with stone walls, washed the outside of the house down, and cleaned gutters. They filled the beds and garden with name branded garden soil and installed a climbing trellis for cucumber and squash.

Description of Work: He came out and looked at the job. He said he would contact us with an estimate, I called a week or so later, he said he needed more time to collect the prices. We never heard from him again. Very disappointing. Are there any reliable contractors in Mississippi?

Description of Work: Solved bad long-time flooding problem in back yard, affecting not only the yard but flooding onto what had been our patio that had been converted to a screened porch. After flooding problem was solved, they renovated the porch (which was in bad shape) and made a glassed-in sun room out of it, including new flooring. They also put in new flooring in our den and kitchen, and renovated both bathrooms. They were, at all times, quite pleasant and easy to work with, dealing patiently with some last-minute changes.

Description of Work: Mike Hydrick and his firm Southern States Construction have done several remodeling projects for me since about 1995 until as recently as October of this year. The first project was a remodel of my house. They built an enclosed porch, totally remodeled the kitchen and bathrooms, put on wooden siding and other miscellaneous work. All the work was excellent and his workers, cleaned as they worked, thereby minimizing the stress of a job that went on for several weeks. Thereafter, he did miscellaneous repairs and remodeling, including adding a room to the garage. In 2004, I moved to a large house that was built in the 1920's and needed extensive work. Mike completely renovated the house, a project which took several months because of the amount of work involved. He sanded the hardwood floors, added a new kitchen, remodeled the bathrooms, fixed the old windows, painted the outside, completely redid the inside, put in central heat and air where there was none. Since then, he has fixed the old plumbing, installed gas fireplace logs, built fences and walkways. Last year, he put on a new roof. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is reliable and conscientious, as are his men.

Description of Work: The company remodeled our 35 year old house adding a screened-in porch to the back of our home. They removed a wall to make a great room as opposed to the formal living room and den arrangement that we had. They also completely remodeled all 3 bathrooms in our home that needed a major makeover and upgrade to more modern fixtures. They put in new tile flooring throught the high traffic areas of our home and recarpeted the bedrooms. They painted the the total interior of our home. On the outside of our home, Southern States Construction repainted, landscaped and put french drains in the low lying portions of the yard.
